So I finally decided to make a commander deck (my first commander deck) upon getting back into MTG. I enjoyed playing with temporary decks built by my friends so I thought I might take a shot at making my own. Having not kept up with MTG for several years (ok so more like a decade), I was lacking in knowledge and resources with which to build a deck and was completely unfamiliar with commander. So, I decided to pick a random commander that I liked and build a deck from there. I intentionally chose Vorosh, the Hunter as my commander for my first commander deck because he is a dragon BUG that has an appealing design. My motivation (to further explain) stems from the fact that my friends often poke fun at me because my original interest in MTG (as with all card games) was collecting, not competing. As a result, I lacked the competitive mind and strategic methods of most of my friends who often compete in tournaments. To prove to them that a collector like me can also be a competitive member of the MTG community, I built my deck around a card that I liked for its design (although color was also a huge factor in my choice). Being new to commander format and strategy, however, I quickly found myself in need of some help. I do not intend for the deck to be a tournament worthy deck (although that would be nice if possible); my primary concern is just that the deck be functional and able to hold its own in a casual game with friends. So any and all help you can offer would be much appreciated. One more thing, being the glutton for punishment that I am, I do have a few tricky requirements for the deck that I would rather not give up if I could avoid doing so.

Requirements (if at all possible):

  1. I would like to keep my currently listed planeswalkers

  2. Vorosh, the Hunter stays as my commander (obviously)

  3. I would like to keep Whip of Erebos in the deck

Other than that, I honestly have no clear preference regarding what goes into the deck or what route I take in terms of strategy. My budget is pretty flexible (within reason), so I do not mind putting some money into the deck. Thanks for taking the time to look at my deck, and again, any and all help is much appreciated.
