Abrade could be good in the side Fling could be fun

Yeah I didn’t think about Abrade , could be better than Annul . Are there many artifacts going around in Pioneer?

Make it 20 land. Add Arclight Phoenix for Stormchaser Mage . Add 4x Lightning Strike for the 2 copies of Spikefield Hazard  ^Flip and 2 copies of Shock . (You will have 2 copies of shock left over) also add Izzet Charm for Expressive Iteration .

I don’t really want it to be a Arclight Phoenix deck, just want my prowess stuff. Plus I would have to add more discard outlets for Phoenix like Chart a Course and such.

The Stormchaser Mage are gonna be replaced with Soul-Scar Mage if I like the format enough to buy them.

I’m currently at 20 lands with the Spikefield Hazard  ^Flips. And I think Expressive Iteration is too good not to play. It’s even seeing play in Modern.

If I played Izzet Charm it would replace Prismari Command .

I’ll see about fitting some Lightning Strike s in.

You only have 22 spells, 14 of which are instants, but 20 creatures. I'd probably cut dreadhorde as its less aggro and more of a midrange value spellslinger creature in a pyromancer-type deck imo. Some instants and sorceries you could add are Light Up the Stage , Lightning Strike , ... and actually looks like there aren't many options in pioneer because all the good ones are only modern legal. But I still think you should cut some creatures for more spells.

I usually only run 16 creatures in my Prowess decks but Arcanist is too good not to play. I actually cut the light ups for them but I could see adding them back in. I would cut a couple stormwing though, maybe 1 arcanist. Maybe just one of each?

Dreadhorde has been super impressive so far.

What about Lightning Helix ?? Great 3 damage plus 3 life.

9-lives Requires splash. 3 colors in pioneer is kind of difficult, so I think there would need to be other cards in WUR colors to justify splashing white.

Ohh sorry! I didn't realize the colors! How about Teach by Example ?

And Ionize ?

Teach by Example doesn’t do anything unless you have another spell to go with it then you need at least 3 mana, and you get to copy a Shock or a cantrip. Not really worth it.

And the deck rarely has mana open for a 3 mana counter. You want all your main deck spells to be able to be cast to trigger prowess or Stormwing Entity . That’s one of the reasons I cut Light Up the Stage the first time because you want to attack first before you play it.

Have you been play testing this?

I haven’t playtested it myself, but a streamer I came across has been playing it for me on Twitch and we’ve been making changes. I’ve almost got the deck completed in paper so I can start playing it.
