Acid Trip is an Azorius Tempo deck that looks to stabilize the board and then attack the opponent's mana. The namesake for the deck is Reality Acid , with the aim to be finding a copy or two and using a number of blink and bounce effects to activate its leave the battlefield trigger early. Ponder , Heliod's Pilgrim and Mulldrifter combined with blink effects draw through to deck to find a copy of Reality Acid . Once found, creatures like Kor Skyfisher and Dream Stalker bring Acid back to hand, destroying the attached permanent and allowing you to repeat the cycle again. Once assembled, try to remove immediate threats that can't be blocked and once the board has been stabilized, destroy opposing lands and blink creatures for value to grind the opponent out of the game.

Sideboard Strategy

Counterspell comes in for control matchups where you need to protect key spells. Blue Elemental Blast against red decks like Burn and Boros shells. Standard Bearer helps in matchups where targeted removal of Acid threatens to disrupt your combo. Oblivion Ring acts as a catchall removal spell for permanents. Due to the Enter and Leave the Battlefield effects being in separate lines, using a blink spell while the ETB trigger is on the stack causes the LTB trigger to resolve first, allowing a second ETB to trigger, permanently exiling the target of the first ETB. Ephemerate , Momentary Blink , Teferi's Time Twist , Mulldrifter and Sea Gate Oracle all come in when you need to act as greedily as possible to both assemble and maintain your combo or when Rishadan Cutpurse has no hope of causing a permanent to be sacrificed.
