This is my take on a WU control deck. I've always loved Venser and flicker mechanics, so I combined more modern competitive cards with some key flicker cards.

Early game: Set up your draws with a Serum visions and hold mana up for responses.

Mid game: Answer threats with Path and Detention Sphere, otherwise try to build a defense. Favor leaving mana up for responses if possible.

Late game: This is the most important part of a game for WU. Luckily, you will have plenty of options. At this point you should try to cast a Restoration Angel or another bomb, like Venser or maybe a sun titan. A Sphinx's Revelation will bring you back to safe range if you've taken some damage stabilizing. In cases where your opponent has taken the board with creatures, a well timed Supreme Verdict should eliminate most remaining threats and should pave the way for a Venser lock.
