Oh this deck is a blast to play. I've only had issues with a solid win against one other deck of mine which is my Izzet Cruel Control deck You Want To Do What? which has obviously presented some issues since it is... well... Cruel Control? Lol. I have outrun an Aggro Werewolf deck Blood-Born Moon (Barely!), milled out mono black life gain, and noticed this deck normally seems to kick turn 4 or 5 but can easily kick turn 3 with epic draw line.

I like it. I've seen this combo a couple times in edh, but never thought to put it in a modern deck. I'm not sure what budget you're on, but this deck could probably make good use of Remand and I would replace index with Serum Visions . maybe throw in some white shocks for Silence . 1+ if I think of anything else i'll post it here

Remand !!!! Brilliant!!! How did I miss this beauty!!! If I can find some I will work it in, in the mean time since I leave all my decks as they are currently it will go to the maybe board but as soon as I can get them, Mana Leak is GONE! Now for Serum Visions ... While I LOVE the idea of it... I almost don't know if I would replace my other draw mechanic with it. Certainly not Index as that has saved my ass more times than I can count and I've only had the deck for a few days. So that just leaves Gitaxian Probe and I love that card...
roastbeast756 now that you point it out I may just take out the counters all together OR just remove Mizzium Skin

i would say kick the Mizzium Skin it seams all you need is those 2 creatures and adding in more counter spells once it kicks off then you can just infinite into as many NO 's as you want to cast i'd say replace them with Silence because after that goes off all they can do is sit back and take it and as for Hallowed Fountain the blue white shock i'd get it now while it is at almost less that $8 and there is also Glacial Fortress which is somewhere around $3 or the blue white temple that is coming out in the next set

Really trying to keep this mono blue but I can see the benefit of running white... My issue is I don't see forgoing Index or draw mech instead of saving a plains for Silence turn one or even two if available.
Not to mention splashing white for ONE spell seems a bit redunkulous to me on the off chance I get either white mana I throw in the deck. And Silence. If there is a greater reason for me to remove blue and add it in, I would. But I don't see that speeding up my deck or guaranteeing my win.
Also, as a side note, unfortunately this deck does require more than just the two creatures as infinite mana in and of itself is not a win condition :D

Hi, I read about your love for Index
but, what do you think about replacing it with Mystic Speculation
? I love in particular its buyback ability, that fits perfectly with the infinite mana you are able to produce. Can I ask you a favor, then? I made a few modification to my Infinite Mill Deck, can you give me your impressions?
Thank you very much

Mystic Speculation is good. I've been tooling around with draw scry and scry draw to fi d a combo I like. I will keep this in mind.

index might seem good because it has saved you numerous times, but for everytime it saved you it dishonesty did so. index is pure card disadvantage. it may as well say discard a card and hope to get lucky. Whe you spend a card make sure it atleast is paying for itself, personally i would make it 1 index, 2 serum visions, and 1 peer through the depths. As for the silence suggestion, i believe if you add the 8 lands that add blue or white and the silence it will make your deck more consistant although i would be siding th silences in because it is in the 2nd game you will need to worry about them interupting you.

The only real costly cards are in the sideboard, why is that? And what's the point of having them there and not in your main deck? What do you use them for, against what type of deck, etc.
Lots of questions on that sideboard
February 2, 2014 11:53 a.m.
Remand stays in the sideboard until i get more. spellskite is sided because in ky meta only a few people run kill spells or burn on turn two or three. I want to main the spellskite but i just have not been able to find the room.
And i still dont feel splashing white will help me maintain a consistent mana rate especially if i end up with only 1 blue mana opening hand

First of all +1 I love any funky combo deck!
A cool and effective card when you are comboing off is Pact of Negation because it often just annoys me when I have full combo ready and I'm about to go for the kill when I my combo get's butchered by one Lightning Bolt , or Mana Leak .
I don't really like to play Index I have played it in the past but I found it was a bit slow. I prefer to use Sleight of Hand or Serum Visions
Hope this helped!

Honestly turn one Index has saved my balls more times than I can count. Fact of the matter is if I can't move what I need up with Index then something like Sleight of Hand or Serum Visions is not going to help at all.
Pact of Negation is an excellent card, I love it. But its also 8-10 bucks a piece. Don't really have that kinda money for a card that doesn't always save my buns. Just last night it would have ruined my when I had to go late game against Tron when Mana Leak broke Karn Liberated and I needed another two turns.

K Index sort of feels like Brainstorm in terms of getting locked by it which is never good
February 22, 2014 12:38 a.m.
Locked by it? I'm always going to find something I need be it my actual combo, or transmute for the combo... or even just mana... Properly stacking with Index is fantastic. And lets face it, if I'm not going off by turn 5 I'm not going off and I'm going to lose. End of story. No second chance, just bad news bears. I've tried it with the other cards and its just not good. I need the combo and I need it NOW. Turn 3. Every additional turn lowers my likelihood of winning.
Spell Pierce
is going to replace what? Mana Leak is great turn 2 and turn 5. Spell Pierce is not as good turn 5. And no way is it better than Dispel since the one thing that breaks this deck is counter/burn. I can side accordingly game 2.

I agree with you but when you hit pure jank of index it is annoying
February 22, 2014 12:48 a.m.
True but none of the other cards are going to fix that.

ok I guess i just like "Draw a card" or actually getting a card into my hand.

I've been over every single Modern legal draw/scry combo and honestly Index is the best fit for the deck. Only thing I ever have a hard time with is on turn 1 deciding if I want to use Index first or Gitaxian Probe. Usually I burn out the Probes first then Index if I didn't hit gold.

K guess it is up to personal preference.
If only Ancestral Recall and Force of Will were legal then we wouldn't argue over this. lol
