Maybeboard

This is my primary deck for EDH, it's pretty fun, although it's a lot less fun for other people when you take so many turns and spend a lot of time shuffling and scrying. In a video game I would describe Jeleva as a Nuker, crazy combos with her are unlikely, as is a sustained fighting force, but her ability to cost incredibly expensive spells for free makes her very powerful. Opponents also don't want to attack you because they don't want to kill Jeleva only for you to re-cast her.

The deck is still susceptible to being shot down early via the commander being "turned off" by like Pithing Needle but not, because Jeleva's ability is not an activated one. Or being unable to block a "wide" board like Krenko, Mob Boss . Being constantly flickered can only be solved by giving Jeleva haste, of which I have all of the best cards for as far as I know.

The top is my present deck and the cards in the "maybe" section are cards that could be added to better optimize the deck, potentially and hypothetically.

The cards to make this deck work are stupid expensive, expensive cards with powerful effects are apparently hard to come by, or artificially inflated. I know commander is an expensive format, but I got in over my head with this deck, playing it well feels like it requires 500$ or a very large collection of cards, though I do have many. Most of the cards in the maybe category are mostly cards that I don't have that would be good in the deck.

Scry effects are very helpful, they tell you when to cast Jeleva to get the most out of her ability, therefore the scry-lands that I don't have are a very valuable asset. Any "Take another turn" effect that dosen't have additional effects is effectively a draw spell, and is generally pretty unnecessary, but the ones included all synergize well with Jeleva, due to her ability to move the cards she exiled to the graveyard, or the decks ability to manipulate the deck order, or just because they are very expensive and very powerful effects that Jeleva can cast for free.

Vampric and Mystical tutor are better than Demonic because it puts the card on your deck where you can exile it with Jeleva to cast it for free, but you could hypothetically grab one of the first two tutors with the later, and any tutors are good for that reason in this deck, although these tutors are generally the cheapest to cast, and if you are getting rushed down that can be very devastating.

The deck is very fun though when it goes off, and if you can play politics in a less competitive game to survive a while you can do well with my "budget" version of the deck. As much as I like the idea of playing Enter the Infinite and having my last card be Nexus of Fate it might be impractical, and I don't have the cards. My deck is not super competitive, but I would say it's focused. 6/10
