Liesa is an oppressive commander so even if you just have her sit on your field she will draw a lot of attention. It's important to have enough protection ready to prepare for the inevitable removal. You also need a backup plan in your deck that doesn't involve Liesa, in my case I've included a variety of combo pieces in the deck that can work well on their own and with Liesa.

Edicts are incredibly powerful with Liesa but I find them to be far too oppressive. Drawing attention from three other players by playing edicts every turn is too much attention for Liesa. It costs 5 mana to bring her out and two more every time she's removed so she's slow to summon and will get exceedingly expensive to keep bringing out so try not to draw more attention to yourself than you need. Perhaps edicts are quite powerful in this deck, I still find them unfun to play over and over. With enough edicts and mana you can bring the game to a halt and it find it unfun because it basically stops people from playing the game.

Instead I've opted for a lifedrain/lifegain strat with a lot of combo pieces in deck and a ton more ramp, this way I can still grind down opponents and secure a win (hopefull). With enough mana, lifegain combined with Bolas' Citadel I can win without any edicts.
