Most basic rule of the game. You need lands to play things. Why a mountain or a swamp enables one to summon a vampire or a dragon is questionable at best, but anyways...The strategy here is relatively simple. Turn one, start off with a goblin if you have it or a fireball if you don't or if you're going second turn. The fireballs are good for clearing the field early game. Next turn it's ruby medallion and maybe some burn if you have fireslinger or if the field is empty an attack. Either way, that's one damage. By turn three, you should be starting the land destruction. It's essential to get this in and break up the opponent's tempo. Continue for turn four. If you need to, use Tormenting Voice and discard a spare fireball or goblin, or even another Tormenting Voice to pick up some extra cards in case you ran out of burn or land destruction. Browbeat can also help with getting cards if your opponent allows it (they might if you're getting your burn in enough with the goblin. Turn five is the same if possible, and now you should be gearing up to use Valakut's ability if you've played it. You can also summon Stormbreath Dragon if you have it, as his 4/4 stats and haste are almost guaranteed to kill something or do some damage. Note: Use Molten Rains to target nonbasic lands when possible as this will rack up more damage every turn as will roiling terrain after a few turns of land destruction. Don't save them if you don't have any other land destruction available. The trick is to always keep the pressure on the enemy's mana supply and life points. If the opponent is still alive by turn seven, then they will have limited mana use, which likely means a larger hand. This means that Stormbreath Dragon going monstrous is going to hurt, and so will that damage from Valakut's ability. Remember, these do three damage to a target creature or player if you play a mountain when there are five or more on the field. Even if you don't draw a creature, or land destruction, you can rack up damage just for playing a land. Another useful critter in this deck is Magnivore. He isn't pretty, but boy oh boy is he powerful since the majority of your nonland cards are sorceries. His ability to gian power from every sorcery in every graveyard, needless to say, can make him one badass mother****er. Having haste almost guarantees that your opponent will be one monster less, dead, or near dead if you play him at just the right moment. I welcome any and all feedback and suggestions.
