You know, I absolutely love control decks. They're some of my favorite decks to play. Unfortunately, it seems that Standard just wants more aggro than it wants control right now. So, in order to sate my appetite for a good control deck with aggro elements, I decided to make this deck. It's kind of as a middle ground in Standard, I'd say, so I hope you like this deck list. Now, to break the deck down:

Aggro Elements

- Toolcraft Exemplar This is just a great white weenie one drop, pressuring your opponent from hopefully turn one and beyond. Not to mention, it can be best friends with Heart of Kiran.

-Heart of Kiran A 4/4 flying, vigilant machine for just two colorless mana?!? Yes please!!!

-Scrapheap Scrounger It's a super resilient threat, and just works so well with Heart of Kiran. A must have.

-Spell Queller It seems a bit odd to see this guy in the aggro list, huh? But think about it. He's a 2/3 flyer for three converted mana cost that has the added bonus of countering our opponents spells. That's worth right there.

-Archangel Avacyn   It's just such a good card. It's a great blocker, great protection for your creatures, and transformed or not, an amazing attacker. Perfect for a deck that's a bit mid more mid-range than the usual Mardu Vehicles deck list. Plus, it shares synergy with Walking Ballista

Control Elements

-Spell Queller A flying creature that's also a counter spell. Perfect for this deck.

-Negate A cheap counter spell that can counter everything from Vehicles to board wipes to other counter spells.

-Fatal Push An amazing removal spell. Can get anything from Heart of Kiran to Winding Constrictor to any other threats your opponent may have. Shares lots of synergy with Walking Ballista as well.

-Anguished Unmaking It's kind of like the opposite of Unlicensed Disintegration, except that it gets rid of our opponents threat for good. Great against those pesky Scrapheap Scroungers and G/B Delirium decks!

-Thalia, Heretic Cathar Its a good blocker, can crew Heart of Kiran, and slows down our opponents creatures and non-basic lands. Perfect for this deck, especially against mid-range and control decks. Plus it stops the Saheeli Twin combo as an added bonus!

-Archangel Avacyn   Yup, she appears on both lists. She can act as a boardwipe or protection for your creatures at instant speed. Plus, she's an amazing at ambushing your opponent after your they attack.
