Hey thanks for your comment.
Im experimenting with lavaman atm.Had two in the maindeck for a while and have it in the main deck now. I tend to board out 1 land in the draw sometimes thats why I run 20.
I agree on your sideboard philosophy. My sidebpard is build for being as flexible as possible. Thats why I have one cage. The silences are not optimal thats true. Especially in my local meta there is a lot of affinity thats why i have them. I might replace them with a palm and another shattering spree eventually.

This looks like a fun deck and I can see why you use it in tournaments! Best of luck to you if you decide to go onto to those bigger competitions! I don't think I'd change anything, but if I had to make a suggestion I'd ask if you've considered damaging cards with (X) as part of the mana cost to perhaps get some extra power if a match goes on a little longer than usual. As long as you can cast it for the surge cost (which I imagine shouldn't be a problem with this deck's low mana curve), something like Fall of the Titans might not be a bad card. Then again, with Rift Bolt I think this deck probably doesn't need something like that.

Thanks:)
x spells are not good for burn because they are bad in your starting hand and too situational. One of the biggest streangths of bunr is its abbility to put out damage constantly and something thats as situational as a x spell hurts that a lot

why do you run 8 fetches with only 5 targets? it is not helpful unless you go 50 / 50 in the idea of deck thinning because a fetch after 5 is just as useless as a mountain. am I missing something? it does not help you thin your deck at all. also on a different note why do you run bores over mono red burn? it will lose in the mirror so is there a significant advantage against other non mono red burn decks?

That's only problematic if a draw at least 5 lands. When burn draws at least 5 lands it has basically lost anyway so that's not a really a concideration.
Also deck thinning is not a good reason to play fetchlands. They are there for color fixing primarily and for grim lavamancer and searing blaze secondarily.
Boros charm is a really good burn spell that easily can make th3 difference between winning and losing. Lightning helix helps with the life loss. Also basically no one is ru Ning mo o red burn, it's not worth it if your deck gets better against every other MU. Path to exile is also an excellent sideboard card and there are potentially other SB cards in white although I'm not a fan of them

I was thinking Light Up the Stage was pretty stock at this point, but I'm not a burn player. Is there a reason you don't play it? Like the deck.

It's absolutely not stock at this point. I don't like it and pretty much every burn player agrees.
Your pretty much cutting a burn spell for for a spell that represents an unknown amount of damage. You don't want that variance. It also plays bad with Riftbolt and Eidolon.
With sunbaked canyon in the mix you really don't need it anymore (and I doupt that you needed it before)

Speaking as a Burn player myself, it's good to see someone else having fun with the archetype. Glad it's been working out for you!
Depending on how you feel about Lavaman, you could consider running him mainboard over a land. I feel 20 is just a bit much for Burn, but that's just my opinion on it. That'll make room for a second Palm sideboard (and when you're on the draw against GDS or Bogles or some other "make a big thing and punch you" deck, you'll be glad you have it).
I've never been a big fan of static cards sideboard. Again, this is almost certainly a philosophical thing on my end, but I value cards that accelerate my gameplan more as a Burn player as opposed to other decks. Stuff that either does damage, interacts with my opponent's threats directly or draws me cards I find extremely useful, whereas I don't personally bother with static shutdown like Cage or Stony (or RiP for that matter).
I'd love to hear your opinions on it though. +1 from a fellow Burn player
