Four mana for a 2/1 just isn't worth it. The vigilance is pretty sweet, but if I did use it, I'd have to take out a Purphoros, God of the Forge , which would hurt the deck's consistency. Overall, I just don't think Heliod, God of the Sun is worth 4. I'd probably run Intangible Virtue over Heliod for +1/+1 and Vigilance for only 2 mana. Thanks for the suggestion! I just don't believe Heliod, God of the Sun has a home here.

You forgot to close the tag for Purphoros, God of the Forge and Brimaz, King of Oreskos in your list of synergies. Just a heads up. I love the deck, though, so +1 to you.

Ahh. Yes, it seems I forgot the second bracket. Thanks for the heads up and the +1!

How did you do the mana symbols? That's really cool!

You just find the image you like (I cropped my own on Photoshop, then uploaded them to an image hosting site). Copy the url, then put it in html: ! [ Name of picture if you want it ] (The URL of the image)

Ex. Norin the Wary is: ! [ ] ( http://oi61.tinypic.com/1zeguj6.jpg ) Norin the Wary but without spaces.

Cool. Kind of like when you add a link using the [Text] (link) format.

This is a really cool deck. The description is extremely informative. Do you think this deck could use more Boros Charm ?

Prehcise says... #10

@Prima Yep, like that. If you have any more questions, just let me know!

@Alizer313 I've been thinking about Boros Charm for a while. Maybe 1 main and one sideboard. I'm not sure what I'd take out, though.

I really think AEther Vial would be great here. Have you tried using it?

May 27, 2014 7:11 p.m.

Prehcise says... #12

I had forgotten about AEther Vial . I have considered it before, but never got around to testing. It would help me get creatures on the field quicker due to my low amount of land. I can even drop a Purphoros, God of the Forge onto the battlefield for free. Awesome! Thanks for the suggestion! I'll try to work it in and see how things go.

This deck just seems perfect for it because everything triggers still when you use it.

May 27, 2014 7:37 p.m.

Prehcise says... #14

Well, except Norin the Wary , but I'm still open to cast a spell to trigger him or to attack. AEther Vial can also help me when I have Mentor of the Meek on the field by leaving mana open to draw cards. It all seems great, so, I'll definitely give it a try. Probably as a 3-4 of. Maybe only 2, I dunno. I'll test at different numbers and see how useful it is for me.

Didgeridooda says... #15

That is what I was trying to figure out. How many, and what to replace. I kept coming up with 3. I might even run 4 in place of the Genesis Chamber

Didgeridooda says... #16

Or run 3 vials, and pop in another mentor of the meek or so.

Cathars' Crusade could be quite fun in this deck! xD

May 27, 2014 7:55 p.m.

Didgeridooda says... #18

cmskinny I think that casting cost is a little bit too high. The card is a little slow for competitive modern.

Prehcise says... #19

@Didgeridooda -Genesis Chamber is a key card in this deck that multiplies the triggers of everything for each one on the field. More creatures that enter to gain life with Soul Warden + Soul's Attendant , burn with Purphoros, God of the Forge or to sac to Blasting Station Viscera Seer or Falkenrath Aristocrat . I can see dropping one, maybe, but less than 3 would throw off the consistency of the deck. An extra Mentor of the Meek might be helpful, its card draw can accelerate the deck so quickly.

@cmskinny -Cathars' Crusade would be tons of fun in casual, but a bit slow for competitive. Man, I can see it being absolutely insane in some of the long Two-headed Giant games I've played with it.

Five rivers encircle Theros, flowing with waters more ancient than the world itself.

What about a couple of Mana Confluence it could bring more mana stability to this deck.

Prehcise says... #22

@mateobadajoz2 - Mana Confluence and/or possibly City of Brass may be of some use in here, I agree. Also, they both have some flavorful text. Thanks for the suggestion!

Prehcise says... #24

There are a few cool tricks you can do with City of Brass due to the damage trigger stacking, but it's most irrelevant in this deck. I'll probably switch to 2x Mana Confluence .

Sure. I'll take a look at it and see if I can be of help.
