you might want to take out Wolfir Silverheart since he ruins the night bond in your deck. you should also take out naturalize and put in your sideboard until you need it but otherwise i think you have a solid deck

(you might want to put in some more lands)

Kinsbaile Cavalier is a great card in a knights deck.

@ Tyrannosary, I'll def. put more lands in, what do you think I should cut to do so? Also, What would you suggest I replace the Silverhearts with? I liked them due to the 8/8 double striking potential they get from Silverblade Paladin , as a sort of finisher blow. Do knight decks just not need that kind of power, or is there some better knight for a 5 drop to put in there instead?

@Gidgetimer Would Kinsbaile Cavalier kinda make Silverblade Paladin a moot card? If I add it, should I axe the Silverblade Paladin ?

Thanks a ton for the help, guys!

i think taking out the Silverblade Paladin for Kinsbaile Cavalier is a good idea. i think you should have about 22-24 lands (depends what you're comfortable with. if you want add one more Elspeth, Knight-Errant you might be able to make this an only white deck. but i do think that putting in some more Rancor , Unflinching Courage , and Selesnya Charm s would be good.

@Tyrannosary Awesome feedback, thank you. I'm trying to stay away from mono-white knight decks, because from what I've seen, they're just so expensive >.<;

what do you think of Juniper Order Ranger ? He'd get buffed real quick with Hero of Bladehold in play.

Tyrannosary says... #8

I think that is a good idea

I had a very similar deck once, it looked much the same as this. I would run 4 Brave the Elements and sideboard the Naturalize . I would also think about adding Knight of Meadowgrain , Accorder Paladin , Kinsbaile Cavalier , Mirran Crusader and Fiendslayer Paladin in, maybe for Steward of Valeron , Leonin Skyhunter and Wolfir Silverheart .

if you want you can add Elspeth, Sun's Champion to your deck since her +1 allows you to summon 3 1/1 white soldier creature tokens onto the battlefield and her -7 is devastating when you have a loaded field

@ awesomeguy37 I may take you up on that Kinsbaile Cavalier and Fiendslayer Paladin ! :P

I toyed with the idea of Mirran Crusader , as he is a consummate badass, but besides for being a hella lot of money, he's actually immune to my green buffs, such as Rancor , etc. and thereby isn't quite as useful as he would be in a mono-white deck.

@Tyrannosary I'll def. consider that. I'll throw Elspeth, Sun's Champion in, and run a few tests.

make sure to change out the cards from your online deck for the new ones so i know what your deck is like and can tell you if there is anything that needs to be cut

@Tyrannosary Gotcha, will do!

I think your deck looks good now. just some things you can do with your deck that you might not know is that you should have Steward of Valeron attack, and since he has vigilance he wont tap which means you may then tap him and add the forest to your mana pool. if you add the mana first then you will not be able to attack. also you should already know this but when you cast Brave the Elements it can target all creatures you control since all of them have white in your mana pool

Tyrannosary says... #15

I do think you should take out a couple of forests and add in a couple of plains to balance out your mana colors (if you look on the top right it shows your mana color ratio of lands vs. card costs).

@Tyrannosary Oh, cool, thanks for the tip! That combos well with Knight of the Reliquary , as the land she replaces the sacked land with enters untapped (unless specified otherwise). And I'll see about those plains. Thank you so much for your help! .

Yep I dont think there is anything else wrong with the deck so i think you are ready for purchase.

What are your thoughts on Knight of New Alara ?

Is this meant for kitchen table Modern or LGS modern?

May 27, 2014 6:15 p.m.

Tyrannosary says... #19

Its meant for casual and if Knight of New Alara was to be added in i would take out the Kinsbaile Cavalier but there is no way slovakattack should do that because he needs double strike since it is such a strong ability

May 27, 2014 6:53 p.m.

MindAblaze says... #20

I'd say the double strike is valuable for sure.

That being said...with only 22 lands and four 5-drops he'll be hard pressed to cast them consistently. Especially considering Cathars' Crusade doesn't do anything until the next turn at the earliest.

slovakattack says... #21

@MindAblaze! Knight of New Alara is kind of a weird card. I would totally switch out Kinsbaile Cavalier for it... if I had only multicolored creatures. It's a knight that's better in a full Selesnya deck than an actual knight deck, as all the best knights are mono-white. xD

As for the mana, I'm still trying to figure out the proper ratio. I think that having the Steward of Valeron does a lot to mitigate my low amount of mana... those are just my thoughts. Tyrannosary probably knows more about it than I do :x

May 27, 2014 7:21 p.m.

Tyrannosary says... #22

I think you need to swap out either 1 or 2 more Forest for Plains

May 27, 2014 7:34 p.m.

slovakattack says... #23

@Tyrannosary Gotcha. Out of curiosity, what do you think of Flagstones of Trokair , priceyness aside (tbh I may just not get it because of that anyway, but...)

The reason I'm considering it is that if I sac Flagstones of Trokair with the Knight of the Reliquary , then I think their effects stack and you can actually get 2 mana for sacking 1.

May 27, 2014 7:38 p.m.

Tyrannosary says... #24

Flagstones of Trokair is amazing you should definitely add as many as you can afford in place of Plains s. You wouldn't be able to sac Flagstones of Trokair with Knight of the Reliquary because it is not a Plains (even though it produces a plains' mana type. But even so, it is still a good card.

Tyrannosary says... #25

BTW I think your mana ratio is perfect now
