The Big Kids —Oct. 30, 2014

Well, this little prick is at it again. After realizing that he was a still a small fish in a big pond, he should have realized it was time to start behaving...Of course instead, my little darling went out and made friends with some big fish who can protect him.
He ditched his friend Whirlwind Adept for some more muscle...His loyalty to his friends...sheesh. He replaced them with Scourge of Fleets and Kraken of the Straits, some serious big boys who feed off the fact this is mono-blue. This A-hole is no longer content just to Cancel your plans, he picked up a few new friends. They call themselves the Dragon's Eye Savants gang. The kids don't have much muscle, but still offer a lot of local protection for cheap. These kids are getting serious...

How does the kid play out? It seems fun, I have a kid of these myself sometime soon.

He has his fun. He plays with his food too much, which can cause everything to drag out a bit. But overall he is a very aggravating adversary. His major weakness is this big bully of a guy Surrak Dragonclaw and his friends.

None of the people at my local store play with Surrak so I might be ok. I'll take the kid for a ride ;)

Check out Battlefield Thaumaturge ! It allows you to cast Curse of the Swine on any amount of target creatures just for 2 blue mana! It's super handy when playing X and strive cards.

eatyourbabes Battlefield Thaumaturge was originally in the deck but he couldn't make the cut as the number of "per target creature" cards began to dwindle. Though I may put him in the sideboard.

yknottry true. I had experimentally tossed retraction helix into the deck to see how it played. It may go into the sideboard. It is now at 60.
