Ok so yeah I've been pretty lazy about adding those old updates, so I'm going to just add more recent things and maybe add the old ones when I get around to it. This last week was my first time using Merfolk Trickster, and it turned out great! I was a little worried about taking out basically all non-creature interaction the deck had, but things ended up going surprisingly well.
Jund (2-0): These games went very smoothly. Managed to get the fun Merfolk Trickster a Tarmogoyf and block it. The opponent ended up being pretty bitter though - he dropped right after and said that he hopes WotC stops printing cards to make my deck more "broken". Turns out he's a legacy player just trying out modern and that was his first game.
Grixis Control (2-1?): I can't seem to remember anything about this matchup aside from that my opponent was a guy from my old highschool and that I ended up closely beating him.
Blue Moon (0-2): This guy turned out to be the friend of the legacy player in game one. He too believed that Merfolk Trickster is broken, but he was a lot better about not being bitter. Both games I got really close to beating him (the second game I got him down to 1!), but he manged to draw enough removal to keep me from finally killing him. One suggestion he gave me was to be careful not to over commit to the board - I most likely lost game two because I played a Master of Waves when I didn't need too. Good thing to keep in mind for the future!
8 Rack (2-0): These games ended up being pretty straightforwards. He couldn't really ever come up with blockers and apparently he only had one ensnaring bridge in his 75 (which never showed up), so...
