This is my somewhat jankey budget lantern control deck. This by no stretch of the imagination the most efficient way to play this deck but I'm a broke college student at the moment. The engine however functions the same way as a top tier lantern deck, using Codex Shredder + Lantern of Insight to control your opponents draw and Ghoulcaller's Bell + Lantern of Insight to do the same in addition to allowing some say in the top of your own library, and then there is Ensnaring Bridge to hopefully keep your opponent from swinging lethal. Looking at the mana base is where you see most of the budget cuts. Ideally I would run a playset of Mox Opal and Glimmervoid as well as Academy Ruins for artifact re-occurrence (again, broke), these have been replaced with pain lands, Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and basic lands. The last kinda big budget cut that I made was Spellskite. Spellskite is a pretty big part of protecting the deck from any kind of artifact removal that slips through your lantern lock, so I'll probably pick up a few as soon as I'm able and replace the Trinket Mages. Beyond these, the rest of this deck looks pretty close to what I invision for this deck. Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver and Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas are my win-cons of choice. Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver is able to mill eldrazi without letting your opponent refill their library, and Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas can deal large amounts of damage with his ultimate, on top of being able to tutor for lock pieces. Suggestions are welcome. Thanks for taking the time to look over my deck!
