"Other players have tried to check ... the fulfillment of our manifest destiny to overspread the playmat allotted by Providence for the free development of our turnly multiplying millions." - Weisemanjohn
I wanted to make this pun immediately after seeing the ability manifest. I decided upon after analyzing the cards and seeing that they are the only two colors with repeatable consistent manifest abilities.
As the name suggests, the idea of this deck is to manifest. Some of the powerhouse cards are Whisperwood Elemental with his manifest each turn and wrath protection,
Trail of Mystery
thinning the deck of lands and boosting my manifested creatures and Hooded Hydra because who doesn't want a 5/5 for 2?
Support comes in the form of Dictate of Heliod to make those 2/2s into 4/4s,
Master of Pearls
for cheap temporary global buff and Temur Sabertooth so that you don't accidentally manifest the good stuff.
The rest all support a constant stream of manifestted creatures to rush the field during mid game.
New for me is the usage of removal in the form of Banishing Light. Removal is definitely a sire spot if mine as I hate being on the receiving end, but it may come in handy against people playing my more familiar style of big tramply creatures.
Sideboard tech right now is balance adjusting for card multiple numbers.
moderate testing against my other standard decks is proving this strategy to be viable, I may start building up a complete deck for FNM usage.
Testing and comments are greatly appreciated. I have a limited pool of decks to test against and my knowledge of the current meta is lacking so feel free to let me know what you think. Also, sideboard tech would be helpful.
current cards under contemplation: Would
Lens of Clarity
be good to use based on the fact I can know what will be manifested?
