In my playgroup, the big toughness creature strategy is not fast enough to win games. So I had to opt for a more aggressive strategy: Combo.

I was starting to run into the problem where I couldn't get to my combo's fast enough or it at least felt that way. So I decided to drop the Fraying Sanity + Traumatize or Fleet Swallower and the Halimar Excavator + Rite of Replication. My reasoning for choosing these combos was that they were (1) mana intensive, (2) harder to set up, and (3) they felt like dead draws when I already had a different combo piece in my hand.

So what did I replace them with? Primarily card draw and a few more control cards. One newer combo was added that will be noted down below in the combo section. More Tutors are still to come.

The combos either completely mill or exile my opponents libraries, or kill them through loss of life by milling with cards like Duskmantle guild mage or Bloodchief Ascension.

This new list still needs to be playtested.

Combos:

Duskmantle Guildmage + Mindcrank. This combo is the scariest. Make everyone at the table hate you for playing it. Once it lands, its game over for anyone that tries to touch it. My favorite is pairing this combo with Geier Reach Sanitarium.

Helm of Obedience + Leyline of the Void. I had this in my opening hand once plus a Sol Ring. The game was over so fast.

Tunnel Vision + Spell Crumple or Hinder or Vessel of Endless Rest. It has reached the point in my playgroup where if I put anything on the bottom of someones library, I become the target. They immediately assume I am going to Tunnel vision them on my next turn.

Eater of the Dead + Phenax, God of Deception. Can take out players that run heavy creature decks.

Fate Stitcher + Illusionist's Bracers. Make infinite mana to cast Phenax and another creature to mill out the table. Fate stitcher has gained a lot of hate in my playgroup thanks to this combo.

NEW Undead Alchemist + Altar of Dementia. Like the Eater of the Dead + Phenax, God of Deception combo, Undead Alchemist and Altar of Dementia work well against creature heavy decks. While it doesn't exile the creatures like Eater of the Dead, Undead Alchemist will give you board presence in the form of an army of 2/2 zombies. Against creature heavy decks, Tapping the zombies to mill thanks to Phenax, God of Deception and then sacrificing them to the altar can net you 3 zombies if you hit 4 creatures. Throw in an Altar of the Brood and this can go even higher.
