Sideboard

Creature (3)

Planeswalker (1)

Pretty Straightforward deck - just keep blocking and countering whatever the opponent throws at you, and hit hard with Pearl Lake Ancient and Thassa, God of the Sea 's unblockable bonus at the end.

PREFERRED OPENING HAND: 3 of any lands, 3 counters, and 1 blocker is good enough. It would be better if 1 Ponder is drawn as well.

STRATEGY (turn-by-turn reference): Put down a Ponder at turn 1 to quickly foresee and strategize the next turns accordingly. Preferably Fog Bank would be there come turn 2. Bring down a Wall of Frost or Hover Barrier by turn 3, and the rest of the turns should be for countering/bouncing anything the opponent throws. By turn 6, safely play Thassa, God of the Sea , and by turn 7 (or turn 9 if against another control deck), it should be time to bring down the finisher, Pearl Lake Ancient . Thassa is key here due to her ability to basically make the leviathan walk all over opponents. There should always be 2-3 counters on hand just in case.
