Works pretty simply,

Get out Maralen ASAP so that you can pick through your deck for whatever you may need, while your opponent will be able to benefit from this as well, the instant speed discard in the form of Funeral Charm , Scroll of Griselbrand , Necrogen Spellbomb , and Shrine of Limitless Power , should buy you enough turns to empty their hand, and you can rinse and repeat this once with Buried Ruin. Your creatures should also be providing some supplementary discard advantage. Keep their hands empty, and even while they get to tutor out whatever they want, they shouldn't be able to make much use of it. Eventually search out and drop Nyxathid , and seal the deal.

This deck has lots of fun small combos, Winding Canyons lets you take advantage of Maralen first by dropping her on your opponents turn, as well as letting you play future critters on their turn as well.

Raven's Crime and Dakmor Salvage can provide soft lock discard, but that's really a desperation move. Ideally Maralen will let you search out more powerful discard strategies, but this works should she be removed from play in a meaningful way.

It's also a fun deck to have your way with. I run Gnat Miser because I have traditionally been an aggro player, and will always err on the side of more creatures, but there is more powerful discard you could put in that slot. This being said, the creatures in this deck, if not handled quickly, can become quite aggressive in their own right, with Abyssal Nocturnus , Master of the Feast , and Oona's Prowler all posing pretty sizeable threats for tiny leaders right off the bat.
