I did see the description. I just think tutoring provides great consistency. Also, Foundry Inspector makes all of your artifacts cheaper to cast, so that may be a good card for the deck. Scrapheap Scrounger also would work well in the deck.

Pabs4444 Also Trophy Mage only fetches a specific to 3 drop. 2 drop and 4 drop would be most times more useful than any of my 3 drops. Also it's not an artifact or historic body or support that interaction so I'd say nay on him. I'd find Glint-Nest Crane more useful being able to fetch any artifact out of top 4 than only a 3 drop. Also he's a flying defensive body.

Pabs4444 All that stuff was in here at one point and just didnt work too well. Don't like that Scrapheap Scrounger can't block. Foundry Inspector is cool and all but most the deck is already really cheap and I don't want to just play my whole hand out at once. Works better to keep guys in my hand to keep playing every turn to keep untapping Traxos, Scourge of Kroog

Pabs4444 Please look through comment archive and revisions and you'll see this has all been covered already.

I didnt go digging through the comment archive, but did you ever kick around splashing White for Board the Weatherlight? Just a thought, because it would be bonkers in this deck and wouldnt require too many tweaks to the mana base.

Leatherankh yeah I tested grixis and esper initially and just ended up cutting it down to dimir. Although Esper did show the most promise for that and also protecting everything and historic triggers. Shalai, Voice of Plenty and Teshar, Ancestor’s Apostle were my biggest candidates but esper took longer to build and stabilize. It also wasn't as efficient at getting damage through in a more aggro style. Games took in their best case scenario another 2 turns to win. The only upside I would say is grixis and esper land base are just phenomenal right now. 3 color fixing is very doable in standard right now.

I have a similar deck. I found Costly Plunder to be really helpful, especially with Scrap Trawler out.

I wasn't really enamored with Metallic Mimic. It felt really bad to draw and play too often in my experience. I decided to give Heart of Kiran and Herald of Anguish main-board play.

As an aside, where is Inventors' Fair?

polity4life Inventors' Fair Not Necessary in here really. And being a more aggro style deck I'm not expecting to have 3 bodies on the field at the same time usually so he didn't get inclusion though it did get tested. So far in testing I always draw at least 2 wincon regularly so I don't feel the need to fetch. I'd rather fetch from graveyard via Sequestered Stash (originally) and now Memorial to Folly. Metallic Mimic is part of what sustains this deck for power. Helps to make that bottom end a little more survivable and always nice when Traxos, Scourge of Kroog Comes out just a lil bigger. Tested Herald of Anguish as well which was a wincon choice at one point but just not consistent enough to get out for cheap vs Traxos, Scourge of Kroog or Zahid, Djinn of the Lamp. Heart of Kiran was an original choice but with crew 3 its tough. Hence the Aethersphere Harvester. Crew 1 works with all bodies in the deck, still flying, and has ability to assign lifelink as needed in longer games. And can help feed it while fixing colors with Aether Hub

Could play just a 1x Rona, Disciple of Gix just as a way of getting dead cards back from the graveyard. Otherwise, this top quality deck gets an upvote from me.

Talltail I have thought about Rona which works as a return option but doesn't fit the theme otherwise besides the fact of being Legendary for Historic.

Hi

I would try the underplayed Pacification Array. Maybe vs non artifact control cards.

Sweet though, Traxos and Zahid have been my first purchases for Dominaria ...

why is Zhalfirin Void in instead of Inventors' Fair. i know it has been covered before in the comments sections but i just think it is a strictly better version of void since it helps against aggro matchups so much.

Aggro matchups mean things dying more which means not 3 on the field to help. The void at least helps me sort to the good stuff consistently. Great early

You could throw animation module in this. With metallic and sparring recurring youll have plenty of servos for antiquities. It can also add lore counters to ramp to 5/5 faster.

I like the deck idea though!

HitboxI have thought about it. I don't entirely like the fact I gotta pay an extra everytime I play something to get value out of it though. Main Idea is the keep everything cheap to play. Where as Efficient Construction I just need to get it out and they are flying bodies once a The Antiquities War hits the field, and the fetch from one helps feed playing guys to get the thopters so that when the 3rd trigger goes off I have decent amount of bodies out.

Tezzeret the Schemer is a very good win con
