"Whirlpool" is a mono-blue Merfolk tempo deck I built for the Legacy format. Feedback and suggestions are appreciated!

The deck's basic game plan is straightforward: flood the battlefield with evasive Merfolk, boost them with lords, and then overwhelm the opponent with damage before they can respond. A portion of its strategy involves tapping and untapping permanents, hence the name "Whirlpool."

To make the deck as fast as possible, I put the bulk of my creatures in the 1-2 mana slot and then played off the "unblockable" ability to speed up the game. Curious Obsession and Seafloor Oracle give me cards whenever I deal combat damage to my opponent. If I have an evasive creature on the field, Hidden Strings basically lets me tap or untap up to two permanents every turn, which can free up my lands for mana acceleration (and has some other uses depending on my needs and what my hand looks like).

The deck packs some defensive tricks as well. Merfolk Trickster can remove creature's abilities at instant speed, which can be a lifesaver for dealing with fliers and other evasive threats. Merrow Reejerey is a great support for the flash creatures in the deck since I can disable additional attackers on my opponent's turn if need be. I also added Counterspell for additional disruption. There's no real removal in the deck; the hope is just to slow down the opponent long enough to get lethal damage through in the early game.
