Maybeboard

Loosely based off of one of my favorite EDH decks a friend of mine has that I really enjoyed playing. The only thing that I remember being the same is the Commander itself and Endless Horizons . Maybe the decks share a few other cards, but I mainly went off of what I feel would be a great addition to the deck.

So for this deck you'll mainly want to play Eight-and-a-Half-Tails as soon as you have a board state worth protecting and the mana to do so, bring him out too soon and you'll run into an inability to protect him, let alone anything else. Cards like Circle of Protection: White , Rune of Protection: White , Cloudchaser Kestrel, and Story Circle are meant to compliment him and his abilities. Sometimes if you can't get him out because of him being sent back multiple times, you do have backup.

Then you have cards like Aegis of the Gods, Archangel of Tithes, Windborn Muse, Ghostly Prison, Karmic Justice , Leyline of Sanctity, Norn's Annex, and Sphere of Safety are there to force people to leave you alone while you slowly build up a creature base worth attacking with.

Of course it wouldn't be that great if there wasn't a way to have access to lots of mana. Thankfully since this deck is Mono colored, it really isn't hard getting massive amounts of the same color thanks to Caged Sun, Extraplanar Lens, Gauntlet of Power, and Endless Horizons . With Endless Horizons you're guaranteed a basic land pretty much every turn, while the rest tend to double what you (and others) have. If other people also have plains, it does help them out as well, but if they are multicolored, it's clearly more of a benefit to you as all of your lands will trigger for multiple mana, while theirs will not. If they are also Mono White, you have the added bonus for not having to be able to pay for half of Eight-and-a-Half-Tails ability. It's always more in your benefit regardless of the decks you play against.

That being said since it is white, there are a lot of destruction spells such as Planar Cleansing and Phyrexian Rebirth however you'll want to be careful when to use this. A lot of these are more beneficial due to Avacyn, Angel of Hope giving your stuff protection from that kind of spell.

Everything else is there to make you an unstoppable killing force and thus able to win.

I've decided to remove Terminus and put in Angel's Grace. Angel's Grace is a fantastic card that should have been in there from the beginning, and everytime I drew Terminus, I've decided to not use it for whatever reason. It just isn't as useful as I would have expected it to be.

Also replaced Elspeth Tirel with Elspeth, Knight-Errant because it makes more sense for the deck.
