You can ramp and play creatures early. What more could you want?

You have to get out your morph-related enchants as they are the core of the deck. You draw a lot off of the secret plans and your creatures get a toughness buff. You also have inherent combat tricks in Trail of Mystery, obscuring Aether acts as another sort of ramp spell. Another great part of Trail is that you will always hit your lands when you have it out. As such, your deck will thin very fast allowing you to get the creatures you need. With Temur War Shaman + Trail you have built in fight capabilities with huge creatures, allowing you to pick off some of their smaller things and then swing in big.
