You should probably go red/green dragons because you get really good ramp from green, and you can play Dragonlord Atarka and Atarka's Command.

If you go green, good sideboard options are Hellkite Tyrant, Feed the Clan, Crumble to Dust, Burn the Impure, and possibly Aligned Hedron Network.

Also if you go Green you could play Increasing Savagery to turn on Slumbering Dragon right away. It's something to consider.

for land ramp maybe do Nissa's Pilgrimage.

I personally like Search for Tomorrow as a great option for ramp in modern as well.

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried splashing green and did some play testing. I added some ramp, Atarka's Command, Sarkhan Vol but found that it takes away the essence of the deck. I would have to add in fatter dragons with the ramp, Utvara Hellkite or something similar. That's not really what I wanted from this deck. After adding the green ramp it almost feels better to just go tron or add Primeval Titan.
