This deck is a combination of the existing "Dredgevine" deck archetype, and the recent home-brew from Travis Woo! The primary variant to the deck is the addition of the new Fate Reforged card Soulflayer .

With such heavy Dredge and Sacrifice (and creatures that tend to leave play frequently), Soulflayer acts as an additional source of value for the deck; whether it is by Delving out for a big hitter, or being a cheap card to trigger Vengevine . In order to increase the consistency and competitiveness of the deck, some of the more costly "power" cards were cut for smaller cards that impact faster. For example Uktabi Drake can stick enough early damage to give the later "big hitters" higher odds of lethality. Lotleth Troll acts as another low cost high impact creature, both from it's ability to fill the graveyard, and it's ability to be threat on it's own.

The two main players in the deck are of course Soulflayer and Vengevine . These two really enjoy working together; whether it is to trigger a Hastey Vengevine from the grave by casting a cheap Soulflayer , or when Vengvine gives Soulflayer a good Delve target! When the deck plays correctly, Soulflayer can easily become a Haste, Double Strike, Flying, 4/4; a slightly more punchy Vengevine really.
