I'll list them by mana cost, but I think most are going to be on the /sumbol:3 drop.
Healer of the Glade
is tooooo good!!! Get them shock lands out and net a health!! Don’t mind if I don’t!! I didn’t have a one drop and it was bothering me, so I decided to check out some new one drops. I found this little ditty, and had to make room for it.
Leafkin Druid
... It's like a
Llanowar Elves
, but can get you double mana for having 3 more creatures and costs more? I'll take it! Is
Llanowar Elves
even going to be in standard when dom and 19 rotate? Does it really matter, cause this hits the tribal aspect for the deck, so I'll be running it!
Runaway Steam-Kin
Has been another of my favorites. I basically tried to make a deck with all my favorite standard cards. It's got decent ramp and we can gain additional counters just on by playing creatures when
Omnath, Locus of the Roil
is out, or if you play
Overgrowth Elemental
after it's out. That's just on top of getting them when casting
Chandra, Acolyte of Flame
Creeping Trailblazer
Living Twister
Nikya of the Old Ways
Rhythm of the Wild
Omnath, Locus of the Roil
and other copies of
Runaway Steam-Kin
.
OR
Thunderkin Awakener
I feel this card might go over looked, but with the correct plays and build it can do some work. First off I want to point out that it’s not legendary, so we can chain itself if you’ve got the proper set up. We have
Rhythm of the Wild
to give it an extra +1/1. That alone allows us to chain them if they’re in the graveyard. Now if we have Omnath, Locus of the Roil + Risen Reef
out then we have the potential of snagging just about any other elemental in the graveyard at the end of the chain. This can lead to a really big
Omnath, Locus of the Roil
to thin out a bigger blocker after we just went a few creatures wider for the turn. Or even a
Creeping Trailblazer
to pump with extra fuel on the field.
Creeping Trailblazer
I think this card is a must. The static will give all elementals a +1/0. This will even affect our tokens to just create even more annoying value from
Chandra, Acolyte of Flame
and
Nissa, Who Shakes the World
Activated ability can be an annoying thing in it's own. Get a +1/1 for each other elemental you control. This means if you have
Chandra, Acolyte of Flame
it's an instant +2/2, so you'll be swinging for 4+.
Overgrowth Elemental
I feel he's going to do some work when we get just about any other creature out after him. ETB gives a +1/1 to another elemental. Depending on when this goes out you have just about every other creature to utilize the ETB on.
His second ability is where we will be utilizing
Chandra, Acolyte of Flame
to her full potential. Bring out 2 elementals, then swing with 2 elementals. If they get blocked then you gain two life and
Overgrowth Elemental
gets 2 +1/1 counters. If they don't get blocked you get to sac them at the end of turn, gain two life, and put 2 +1/1 counters on
Overgrowth Elemental
. This will put him at 5/4 after one use of her ability. 6/5 if you happen to play another elemental that turn, and 3 life instead.
Living Twister
is going to be that random creature that sits on the board, until you need to end the game. I mean you’ll obviously get to utilize him for other creatures like
Overgrowth Elemental
,
Risen Reef
,
Leafkin Druid
, and creeping trialblazer. But the real magic happens when we want to end the game, and we are getting tons of mana from
Nikya of the Old Ways
and/or
Nissa, Who Shakes the World
tap your lands for as much mana as possible and then kick them back for . Hand full of lands and use the rest of the mana to shock the shit out of your opponent. It's an ability and you don't have to tap the big guy to do it, so let's do it a lot!
Risen Reef
What a beautiful card! I just love it! Get ramp or card in hand on ETB. Then you also get it if another elemental enters? We've got so many and with
Chandra, Acolyte of Flame
we can double proc it!
Omnath, Locus of the Roil
is a little board clear, some +1/1 generation when a land ETB, and draw after
Risen Reef
has done it's job and you've got 8 lands!
Nikya of the Old Ways
is our only non-elemental creature, but gives us just us more ramp than
Nissa, Who Shakes the World
. Only caveat is that you can only cast creature spells.... luckily for us we've got plenty of creatures. She's also one of our highest cost cards and we've hopefully played our only non-creature cards.
