If you want to credit me in the description, go for it by all means. It's entirely at your discretion though. I'm flattered either way.

Is there any reason you've taken out Grasp of Fate? Oblivion Ring might have a bit of combo possibilities, but the mana cost of Grasp shouldn't be too much of a disadvantage in comparison to the advantage...

Maybe add solemn simulacrum - he is 2/2 means he can be found with recruter and he is doing better then Wayfarer.
October 12, 2016 6:54 a.m.
@belenkaya: Solemn Simulacrum isn't playable in competitive EDH, not even in Brago. The effect is nice, but paying four mana for a card that only tutors up a single basic land into play per turn cycle normally is just too slow.
Wayfarer is superior here because it comes down consistently on turn one and can tutor for any land, not just basics. This both helps with ramping thanks to cards like Ancient Tomb, or can be used for utility with lands such as Academy Ruins (some Brago builds also run Tabernacle).
In cEDH, speed is everything, and comparing a one-drop to a four-drop with a similar power level makes little sense. It's a bit like saying Jace's Ingenuity is on the same level as Ancestral Recall.

Well since it's a multiplayer edh deck(sol ring is banned in duel edh) - in my opinion multiplayer is unwinnable if you want to win game quickly, like in 6-7 turns. You will just become on enemy for everybody and they will shut you down.

belenkaya I can attest to the fact that there are EDH decks that can win well before 6-7 turns. I've played against them. That's the whole point of stax: to slow them down/stop them so you can win instead.
Even in casual, what would you rather have: a T1 play that can tutor for a land that puts you ahead by T2 or a card that nets you a single tapped basic on T4? Solemn is well loved by budget players and in ultra-casual decks, but I don't even play it in my Sigarda voltron casual deck, much less any deck that aims to compete.

We are here talking about multiplayer edh right? This deck is for multiplayer, it has sol ring. if you lock your table on turn 5 you will be the target for your tablemates

If the table is locked, what are they going to do about it?
October 14, 2016 9:55 a.m.
Are u serious? You can't lock hard enough on turn 5 to start with, this has to be something like winter orb+tangle wire duo on table and this is not really high chance starting hand. And if its just a winter orb or smth like that it's not a real lockdown for 4 people, this lock is easily solved by landdrops.
October 14, 2016 10:03 a.m.
It's fairly easy to assemble a hard lock by turn 3-4. The deck runs a wide slew of powerful stax pieces that can lock down the board either individually or when paired. IE: Stasis + any colored mana rock, Static Orb + Tangle Wire, etc. Moreover, it's not uncommon to win outright by turn 4 via Strionic combo. One the many reasons Brago is such a powerful commander is his speed. Both locking and winning can be done in a quick, efficient manner.
By all means, playtest the deck if you don't believe me.

I am runnning a brago deck of my own in a local game store actually and thats why i think its hard to win to quickly. Can you tell please how can you win on turn 4 with strionic combo with this, your build?
October 15, 2016 5:03 a.m.
T1: Land, Sol Ring/Mana Crypt/any other any other combination of mana rocks that tap for 2+.
T2: Land, Brago.
T3: Stax piece or EtB enabler. Tutor for Resonator
T4: Resonator, infinite EtB effects and/or mana.
It's an extremely common line of play. A perfect hand will win on turn 2, whereas turn 3 wins are not terribly uncommon.

So assuming that the aether revolt spoilers are valid, do you think that trophy mage or Treasure Mage is optimal enough as another artifact tutor? I see that you have trinket mage so are the other 2 mages optimal enough?

I think the new card, Paradox Engine would suit fantastically here.
January 1, 2017 5:27 a.m.
It's possible. Engine is more suited to Spellslinger decks like Yidris and Zur though, or decks that can use it to combo.

Whir of Invention looks like it will be a big boon to this deck's strategy, possibly even edging out Reshape.
January 2, 2017 1:45 p.m.
Yep, Whir looks amazing. It's almost definitely going to find a permanent home in the deck.

@NarejEDI see you talking about MLD, but I don't see it in the list - are you trying the deck without them or did you conclude that they weren't needed?
January 5, 2017 8:21 a.m.
I took them out permanently. They were a bit more useful prior to the partial paris rule change where they could be consistently cast easier.

Ever think of running Treachery or something of the like so you can get a bunch of land untaps? Palinchron/Deadeye perhaps?

Would you say this deck is still up to date. I am thinking of making a brago deck and it seems like a good start. Of course Id throw my own flavor in there.

NarejED also, do you think the rishadan cards are still worth it for the steep mana curve.
January 14, 2017 7:45 p.m.
Have you considered running Ancestral Knowledge in this deck? It has done wonders in my playgroup and acts like a super top with its own reshuffle built in.
For those unfamiliar with the card, keep in mind how flicker ETB/LTB triggers work.

I love your build, and reading through the comments I'm gradually learning a lot of the same things about Brago (e.g., land untap effects are unnecessary, Cloudform and Lightform are generally underwhelming).
Looking at your list, I realize I have borrowed from it a lot within the past month or so. What is the etiquette on TappedOut? Should I be giving you credit for the inspiration I have gained from you? This is my deck. You'll see a lot of similarities with some notable differences. It's still a work in progress because I can only afford to add a few cards each month.
