Mentioned what? I think you might have left the most important word out of that sentence. By the context, I'm guessing you're referring to Darksteel Mutation or a similar effect. I had considered DSM at one point, but it not going infinite off Brago-Resonator made it an overall weaker option than Oblivion Ring and Detention Sphere.
Fighting Yisan can be difficult if you're not playing a fastcombo deck, or a deck that runs a fair amount of creature hate, such as this one. Our outs to Yisan and similar decks are Cursed Totem, Grafdigger's Cage, Aven Mindcensor, and Containment Priest (which miraculously does not interfere with Brago's ability). Between those, various removal spells, and a slew of tutors capable of finding answers, Yisan ends up being one of the least threatening of the high-tier decks. Indeed, it's one of Brago's best high-tier matchups when he's properly built.

Yeah, more or less DSM. Oh, what do you know, a card link function not utilizing hyperlink.Imprisoned in the Moon if linking fk'd up- Imprisoned in the Moon. I guess it's not exactly a tax, sac or tap effect. But it's cheap, can be blinked, and is super effective at crippling someone's win-con. So, more reactive control than the proactive stax control.
I recognize O-ring and D-sphere are comparable cards to Imp. bt Moon, maybe better in their effects. However its "Creature, Land, Planeswalker" text make the options available with prison moon downright sexy. It can go on a win-con, or when maze of ith comes out to disrupt the buttblasting, blink it on ith and keep swinging and blinking! Oh, I'm very aware of what poops on yisan with brago. I actually don't run those cards for the sake of my roommates sanity. But Imp. bt moon is a great "gloves on" approach.
Thanks for your response.

Hey NarejED, I finally got around to inputting my Brago EDH deck, which your deck inspired. If you wouldn't mind taking a peek and providing constructive criticism, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

I am a competitive brago player too, and I wanted to share the cool combo to win I put in mine: After you get infinite mana and draw your deck with Strionic Resonator and something like Mana Vault and Wall of Omens, flash in Shimmer Myr, then play Mortarpod and continue to blink infinitely, dealing infinite damage with the mortarpod. If someone counters Mortarpod, it's no problem! Just flash in Prismatic Lens, then keep blinking to get some blue and white mana. Flash in Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir to flash in Sun Titan to get Mortarpod back!I was already running Teferi and Sun Titan, so the combo only takes up 2 slots in the deck, so I think it's a good idea to end the game quickly.

Hey NarejED Ive been upgrading my Brago deck and have been using your list along with many others as a source of inspiration. Reading through the comments you mentioned that lab Maniac is bad in this deck and I just had a quick question about that. Would running a Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir and Laboratory Maniac package not be competitive here? Assuming you get the strionic resonator combo with an infinite draw engine/mana going you can draw into Teferi, flash him in, draw till lab man, flash him in and then draw out your deck for the win.

Hi! I've just read your list and I've a question. Is there any reason to not run a the tabernacle at pendrell vale in the list apart from budget reasons? Thanks!

lol, you've already spent $3,500 on the deck. You might as well add Time Vault for an infinite turn combo with brago.

Salad_The_Great you may not realize this but time vault is banned in edh.

I have not read through all the comments, so I can't be certain no one else mentioned it, but why the lack of Rest in Peace?
May 8, 2017 1:21 a.m.
HeFlies : Probably because this is a graveyard deck and Rest in Peace is completely antithetical to the build. Unless there is some spicy tech I'm missing here, I don't know why one would include that particular card.

Ignore my previous comment. I had this tab confused with another, and as of my knowledge there isn't a way to delete comments. Fun.

If I remember correctly, helm rip was considered in the past and tested. I guess helm was not good enough and RIP i guess did not have enough of a place. And to my knowledge, you can edit comments seconds after posting if you have a paid account. I could be wrong but I think the premium lets you edit (and change your name) but not too sure. You do not have unlimited time for editing your own posts, though.

I'm still curious how Brago wins if Strionic Resonator is answered. It seems the deck just folds. I used to run the Helm + Rest in Peace combo as a backup win condition but both cards are generally such dead draws on their own that I ended up removing them both. But there must be some additional win condition that Brago has access to.

speaking from experience, you will want to find room for Act of Authority. it is a pure workhorse in brago. and one brago player to another, what do you think about putting the Solemnity combos with Decree of Silence, Phyrexian Unlife, or Mystic Remora?

May i ask how u ensure Brago, King Eternal gets his damage trough? Am i missing something? What do you think of Unquestioned Authority to serve double purpose?

As a Brago player this looks sweet. I'm not familiar however with how the stax decks manage to win the game

brago tends to win through strionic resonator and looping any of the wincons (rishidans, d sphere, etc) to blow everyone else out of the game. other stax decks have different wincons

I did a quick "find" to no avail. Why hasn't anyone mentioned ? My roommate runs a Yisan Deck. It's not uncommon that he can pump out a Turn 1 Yisan (mana crypt, chrome mox, sol ring etc.). I got this card against him for a couple games in a row (turn 2 or 3 on his Yisan) and there was virtually nothing he could do but play a green deck. Dunno if you've played against yisan without playing Stax, but it's really difficult. My brago isn't built for stax right now, but considering such, this one stax-like card effectively shut down his commander. Figured it'd be worth a mention. For the lulz- on the second game he played a enchant that turned brago to a forest, lulz.
