Swapped Caustic Bronco for Liliana of the Veil —Oct. 15, 2024

Just as the title says. I play-tested a bit and I really do miss the removal aspect of Liliana of the Veil more than I like the card draw from Caustic Bronco. My main problem with Caustic Bronco is that we have to saddle it to get the best use out of it, and that takes out at least one creature to do it. So, for now, Liliana is back!

Bookrook, I added the Unstoppable Slashers and created an alternative scam-style wincon to the deck! Enjoy!

I like it! I still think that I would remove the amount with affliction for fells and take out the gixis for a pair of Lillianas. I have a soft spot for Aclazotz, deepest betrayal and it is a great curve topper, maybe taking out one of dread knights for a copy of it.

Bookrook, Anoint with Affliction exiles instead of destroys, so I prefer that in the main.

Replacing Gix, Yawgmoth Praetor with Liliana of the Veil is a possibility, but I really like the card draw we get from Gix. That's just such a strong advantage over Lili. I may miss her -2, though, so we'll see.

Yeah, Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal  Flip is a good card, but I think we get more by trying to keep the mana curve a bit lower. Even in the previous build, I usually ended up holding Aclazotz in hand so I could do other things. Thus, he's not really missed, to be honest. He seemed like the easiest card to cut, at least in my style of play.

Bookrook oof, I just realized that Fell is a sorcery. Hard pass-- I'd much rather have instant speed. I like the flexibility of casting removal during my opponent's turn to force them to use mana (if they respond) and have less mana available on my turn.
