Grantley91 To work with Mana Web against multicolor decks?
This whole deck is cruel. I like it. Maybe consider an AEtherling or something as a wincon?

I guess I didn't read that well enough. Makes sense now.
Any of the unblockable, really. Or something to ping them with, like Prodigal Sorcerer or whatever (he was just the first example that came to mind).

Some land control never hurts...

What would happen with Bident of Thassa with Propaganda on the battlefield?
June 2, 2015 1:18 p.m.
Also, embargo has style points.
Embargo + Propaganda = USA deck hahaha

SirFowler The creatures couldn't attack because the controller doesn't have to pay the , so it would be pointless to use Bident of Thassa's ability.
June 2, 2015 2:19 p.m.
Thanks for all the suggestions guys.
@SirFowler: Bident of Thassa only forces them to attack if their control wants to pay the price for Propaganda so the bidents ability would be useless in this case cause they can still choose to not pay and they will not be able to attack.
@13org Those are all really good cards but i need to them to be able to tap their land each turn to trigger Psychic Venom so they can take damage. This deck is full of very hard choices to be made by my opponent and they all hinge on when they choose to tap their mana, so either taking the mana away from them or making it so their land doesnt untap would not help me much at all.
@ThatJunkMage This deck is not fast by any means AT ALL. In fact its so slow im worried about my opponents just deciding to wait it out to see who draws out first. There are plenty of ways for me to counter spells in this deck. Im not the biggest fan of the having to sacrifice either Judge's Familiar or Cursecatcher. Judge's Familiar was in an earlier version of this deck but he just didn't do enough for me to want to keep him. Yes he can do damage but odds are, all of my opponents creatures will be untapped ready to block anything i throw at them every turn since they wont have mana to attack me with. Hence why I have Guile in here. His ability is awesome and he has to be blocked by at least 3 creatures. Basically what im saying is everything in this deck has to be able to stand the test of time and a creature i have to sacrifice to get its effect out i dont think will work, but I do love Judge's Familiar and use him in my Got some Auras on my Gnarlid deck.

What if you threw in a Mindslaver or 2?
Also, what if they added Choke? That would kill this deck.
June 2, 2015 2:30 p.m.
I have plenty of counter in this deck to be able to counter a choke being played. Power Sink, Sunken Field, Mana Leak. I have been considering adding a Stormtide Leviathan to help with that though. Would make it hurt them as much as me. and he would do the same thing as Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth

You could also run Elixir of Immortality for the sole purpose of just locking down their game completely, and once you're about to be decked, play and activate this and watch as their faces turn to pure hatred. (You could also put in Gudul Lurker for an extra special win-con. Make your opponent cry).

Its a good card but too big of a cmc for this deck. Guile is only here for long games and for situations where my opponent decides not to pay. Also if i were to add another color it would be black for more cards like Contaminated Ground and Pooling Venom but i want to stay solid blue.

You also have Soul Barrier. Fatespinner can be a good card too. This is a very cruel deck. +1
June 4, 2015 1:24 p.m.
@luisserpa I had Soul Barrier in this deck at one point but it just didn't trigger enough, either from them paying it or refusing to play creatures. Fatespinner is an AMAZING card! I had no idea it even existed, i'd probably take out Norn's Annex when I can get my hands on 2 of them.

drakes are good. Spiketail Drake and its cousins.
June 4, 2015 7:33 p.m.
The spiketail family is good but they don't give enough power for this deck. I need things to be as permanent as possible and a creature that doesn't do very much damage and its greatest ability requires me to sac it just doesn't cut it in here. I used to have Spiketail Hatchling in here cause he was a cheap flier that could counter a spell if need be but, once I used him, he was gone. This is a slow deck which is why it needs lasting effects.
June 4, 2015 9:34 p.m.
Power Taint(can be cycled if they have no enchantments to target),
Daze, Thwart(the alternative cost will throw ppl off if they think you are tapped out),
Spell Pierce, (cheap counter for non creatures)
Pendrell Flux, Pendrell Mists, The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale(because creature hate)
June 5, 2015 4:08 a.m.
If you're looking for creatures to deal a constant damage, you have Phantom Warrior. It's a solid creature and unblockable, I think it could be good in yur deck.

Wait a second. Mana Web doesn't work.
Say they tap a land, then Mana Webs trigger will go on the stack.
In response to the trigger they can then tap all their land for mana anyway. Sure, they end up with all their lands tapped BUT they get all the mana they wanted.
So Mana Web doesn't do anything at all.

Floating mana still doesn't carry through the phases so it makes instants harder to play. And unless you're trying to drop your whole hand in the first main phase with no intention of responses id say it does plenty. Its not a complete shut out or anything but it makes them really pick and choose what one card they want to drop. And then that card gets countered or shut down in another way. Also if they tap their mana in the upkeep with Slow Motion then the turn is all but wasted.

Why Urborg?
