Goblin Rabblemaster is fun. So is Butcher of the Horde . Also, needs more ascendancy (I recommend 4)

I love both, but it is warrior tribal so idk bout the Demon. He is freakin beast though. Suggestions on fitting in Rablemaster and more Ascendancy?

Zurgo seems to high for your curve. I would take him out for Goblin Rabblemaster . That card is unbelievably good.

Made the changes, thanks guys. Honestly always liked Rabblemaster, didn't even realize he was a warrior lol. Fits in with tribal theme perfectly.

I would cut a Swamp and a Plains for 2 Mana Confluence s. Maybe 3 if you don't worry about your life total.

Done. Thanks again!

This reflects the cards I actually have, maybe board is cards I plan to acquire and replace cards as such described in description box. Mana Confluence is good but too much life loss from lands.

MCY998, I was unsure about fitting in the Butcher of the Horde , but a friend gave me one and when he showed up he did work. I'm gonna give it a go for sure. Thanks man. BorosPlayer, I upped the ascendacy and it helped out a lot. Haven't had a chance to get Goblin Rabblemaster yet, but other than the deck actually runs pretty well as is. It won't be competitive until I get the pain lands and fetches but I think my mana base is pretty solid. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the deck so far in casual play testing. Thanks for your thoughts, I love getting feedback.

I think Stoke the Flames could use a space here. It can finish the game or burn something in the way. Remember you can save your creatures from burn by sacing the ascendancy. It's a great defense against Anger of the Gods

Where do you recommend fitting it in?

You can probably fit 2 in the sideboard by removing an Erase and a Shatter . I can see possibly switching out that Tormented Hero for one in the main board. You may also be able to get away with putting one in a Mardu Charm slot. It makes up for not having the tokens or hand disruption via 4 to your opponents face and convoke. Simplified mana configuration and so on.

Tormented Hero is acting as a fourth Bloodsoaked Champion , but I can definitely find room in sideboard for a couple. I've also found Mardu Charm to be excellent.

I think Feat of Resistance could be useful. Keep a guy alive, force an attack through and give your creature a counter.

I don't need to protect my creatures, really. They're all low drop and replaceable and Ride Down does the job of getting damage through. Board wipes is the best way to deal with my deck, and unfortunately that won't save me.

The ascendancy does a good job against Anger of the Gods . Other than that Athreos, God of Passage can at least get their life total lower or give your creatures back.

October 18, 2014 9:24 p.m.

That may be a better fit.

He'd be good in the sideboard. You mainly want to use it against control. Against other aggro decks it may not do as well but you can try it. Let me know how it works out. I've been trying to for him in my deck for a while.

I love the card ankle shanker! haha, such a funny card, was the first promo card I ever got too.

October 30, 2014 9:23 a.m.

It was also my first promo. This deck actually stemmed from the intro deck. My friends and I all bought one for our clan to test the waters. We ended up splitting two boxes and two fat packs. Needless to say, our decks are MUCH more competitive. My two friends went top 8 with Abzan and Jeskai. I have yet to tourney this deck but I look forward to the opportunity. It's played well against their decks.

Just thought I'd point out Athreos, God of Passage's ability will not be triggered by Anger of the Gods...anger exiles

November 6, 2014 12:32 a.m.

Yeah, that is true. Course I'm not running either card. Athreos doesn't make a big enough impact for me and I don't need to using wipers on my own field.

I'd sideboard a Zurgo Helmsmasher.

May 11, 2015 7:28 p.m.

I'm open to all suggestions. I have been out of the game for nearly 7 months now as I've been going through Basic training/AIT. I would love to make this deck as good as possible.

Love the budget, +1

With Ankle Shanker, I think it's best if you go wide with tokens, so Dragon Fodder, Raise the Alarm, and Hordeling Outburst would do great here. They can also be Butcher of the Horde's fodder

And if you got the cash, you can't go wrong with Goblin Rabblemaster

June 13, 2015 9:14 p.m.

I just ordered a playset of Rabblemasters but they are for a red deck. I try to stay away from the token spells as much because I still want Mardu Ascendancy to be effective. I do sideboard them though just in case.
