Let's all hope they unban Bloodbraid Elf eventually. Then this deck would be the bomb diggity. (Bloodbraid into Outburst into Atarka's Command. Fucking gross.)

@vishnarg I just went out and grabbed a playset just in case hahaha
and Saljen You're right, Tis what i'll do.

I'd definitely suggest Abrupt Decay over Terminate, it's over , so it's better in your colors, hits more stuff, can't be countered, makes them feel bad, and feels better to cast. ("Your Lili is decaying quite abruptly, wouldn't you say?")

I playtest a modified version of this deck on untap.in, and I have found that 2-3x Haze of Rage makes all of the difference. Playing against a tempo deck with 2 Monastery Swiftspear out on my side, I cascaded into Haze, and swung for the t3 win.

Haze of Rage could be a good fit for sure.
I've also considered Hellspark Elemental as well

I second Abrupt Decay. You'll have more targets off a cascade and it will never be countered.
April 8, 2015 9:20 a.m.
Decay isn't hitting alot of popular Abzan toys too though, wilt leaf, rhino, thrun, so that's why I had the terminate up to a four count over decay.
April 8, 2015 9:31 a.m.
Terminate doesn't hit Thrun either, and it does hit all the other creatures that deck runs, and also Liliana otV, and all sorts of other hard to remove artifacts and enchantments that are normally very difficult to destroy.

Why not drop the birds, and add Life from the Loam and Raven's Crime? I would drop the bitterblossom for Smallpox too. I dunno, like bob I guess you really do want greatness at any cost.

BTW, Twin Bolt isn't terrible. It goes at instant speed, and is forked bolt's budget form.

Also, Blood Tribute could make this deck much better. The "losing half life" part fits the name of the deck, and has a cool combo with the bloodghast, how you tap it, they lose half their health, (usually losing 10) so they end up with 10, and bloodghast triggers, and you gain a bunch of life.

Right now the most expensive card in the deck costs 3 and you want to up it to 6? The deck is estimated at 1,000 dollars and you want to run a budget burn spell?
April 17, 2015 12:03 p.m.
... I didn't even look at the total price of the deck.
Hahaha whew
But yeah, 6 cmc wouldn't be good at all in this brew. It's an aggro strategy using cascade.

Nice to see you're still running this. How has it been holding up when you play it at the lgs?
June 30, 2015 3:01 p.m.
I like the idea Scorprix and thanks Redhorn, it's alot of fun to play.
@scrotality long time no talk buddy, how's things been on your end?
Sadly I haven't played mtg much since I came back from the gp. Life decided to take me for a little ride once I got back so I've just been a bit out of touch on mtg.
I'm actually gonna ship the deck out to PreZchoICE1 for him to trash around at his LGS and see how the deck can hold up to the meta.
June 30, 2015 6:26 p.m.
Cool, but PreZchoICE1 hasn't been around for 2 whole months...

+1 just for that little cartoon in the description

Mmm actually, I've never had it be a negative effect for me, timing a cascade is pretty easy to to at points and the only time it wouldn't give you a tempo advantage is hitting another outburst off the cascade. Which hasn't happened to me yet.
... Hitting an outburst into atarkas is fucking amazing thought hahaha

I'd say +1 Abrupt Decay -1 Terminate. Abrupt Decay is more relevant against most decks and creature removal will often pile up in your hand until a relevant target appears. AD is more versatile as well.
