Exodus is a control deck that plans on picking apart your opponents game plan. It is a deck that rewards extensive knowledge of archetypes in the modern meta.

Ideally you use early discard to setup Surgical Extraction, to look through your opponents deck, which then allows you to name the most impactful card with Lost Legacy. That doesn't always happen which is where meta knowledge can bridge the gap to make a "blind call" With Lost Legacy. Early game you should focus on extracting the most immediate threats: combo pieces or big creatures. After that name any answers they might have to our threats.

The game finishers are selected for two conditions, the first is they don't die to our board wipes, the second is there is only a narrow set of answers that our opponent could possibly interact with. That narrow set of answers makes it easier to extract, leaving our opponent with no way to stop us.
