Seeing What Sticks —June 6, 2024
I've gone nothing above 1-4 since taking Baird out of the list. I have no goddamn clue how I went 3-2 with a list that had Baird in it, let alone twice, but I guess I'll try what worked before. Except Baird because I still think he's bad.
I'll put back Cacophony Scamp; it has to have been that guy, right? I've also put back the playset of Kellan, and taken out the Sword of Once and Future around which I was contorting my entire deck. Come to think of it, that might be why the deck got so much worse: since I couldn't strike the right balance between being a burn deck and getting the sword to trigger.
I put a Lost Jitte in its place, since I figure I might as well try it out. Costing only two mana to equip is a pretty big difference from five. I'll take out the Fugitive Codebreakers to make room, since I cut a lot of spells anyway. I'm also back up to 2x Ossification, since I'm trying what worked before.
I'm also going to try Jaya again, this time with one in the mainboard. I came dangerously close to putting in a singleton Angelfire Ignition, since vigilance means the target can even dodge a Wandering Emperor down-tick, but then I came to my senses and added a second Jitte instead.
I've got time to kill at work right now, so I guess I'll write another sideboard outline:
