lifemtg: Thanks! I do have vampiric tutor already and unfortunately grim tutor is too expensive right now.

Looks like you've got quite the build here. I'm not sure there is much to add to it. I've noticed that the new Vilis, Broker of Blood has some nice synergy with Yawgmoth. He basically tuns every activation of Yawgmoth into two cards. He's a bit rough on the curve, though.
Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder can be a solid source of tokens.
You might consider testing out Bubbling Muck in place of Dark Ritual . Dark Rit is good early, but later on, Bubbling Muck can make for some explosive turns.

bushido_man96: Vilis looks really good and definitely warrant testing. I like Endrek too and might test him out. I do run both dark ritual and bubbling muck. Thanks!

Underworld Connections is a good card draw if necessary. I really like the build. Tell us how it does is matches!! .

Font of Agonies is pretty inefficient removal, despite it’s synergy with the rest of your deck. In fact, all single target removal isn’t great on rate in edh. I’d recommend replacing it and any number of other cards with Sign in Blood , Night's Whisper , or Read the Bones . +1 otherwise

In defense of Font of Agonies , single-target removal is helpful in a pinch, and Font is not really single-target in this deck, since you can easily use it multiple times in a game due to the lifeloss component of Yawgmoth.

channelfireball12345: My meta is pretty combo-centric and instant speed removal is definitely needed to stop the combos from happening. I might shave one off for a draw spell if I find that I don't need that many. Thanks for your suggestion!

How have cards like Sifter of Skulls and Ogre Slumlord compared to something like Senior Autocrat that provides immediate value? Do you find that you sacrifice enough non-token creatures to make them worth while?
July 14, 2019 5:20 p.m.
Driemer84: Sifter and Ogre are great compliment to part of the infinite combo with a creature with undead. I've never had any problem with not having enough non-token sac fodder to proc them. Autocrat seems like it would be great in a more reanimation heavy list which I am not running. I don't think there is a right or wrong inclusion/exclusion and it all depends on the context of the deck's goal and direction. Hope that helps.

That makes a lot of sense. Speaking of reanimation, is entomb with it when you only run reanimate and Phyrexian Reclamation? What lines do you usually find yourself taking with it?
July 15, 2019 9:44 p.m.
I suppose Liliana, the Last hope can bring the entomb target back and in some cases defiant necromancer too.

Driemer84: Entomb can also grab Bloodghast / Reassembling Skeleton for Yawgmoth.

Thanks for all the feedback. I threw a variation of this list together and I’ve really been liking it. It has such a great engine and game plan compared to my old mono black good stuff list.
Do you find that Dictate of Erebos and Grave Pact are necessary? After getting a few games in, it feels like Yawgmoth deals with creatures pretty well on his own. I suppose there will be times when Yawgmoth is dealt with and the pact effects can make up for the lack of spot removal. What’s your take?
July 19, 2019 11:36 p.m.
Driemer84: That's a good point. I've only had a couple of games in and there was one game that Dictate of Erebos played a big role. Yawgmoth will be significantly targeted and removed in most games due to how he basically prevents anyone from having creatures so having GP/Dictate is a nice backup plan for creature control.

Hey man, really love the primers you've made! I had seen your Tayam one and really dug it, and I had used this Yawgmoth Primer of yours as a starting point for my own. I'd love to hear if you had any feedback on it / preferred a better form crediting than I have on it right now (sorry pretty new here overall).

arrofil: Hey, glad you enjoyed my primers. I'll take a look at your deck in a while and hopefully can provide some useful feedback. Cheers!
