Relentless Rats EDH Goldfishing Playtest

I tried this gimmick deck out a couple times. I don't plan to play it that much, but it'll be a fun curveball once or twice. The first test had Thrumming Stone in the opening hand, but a tad of mana screw and some surprising stumbles on ripple draws slowed things a little. Nonetheless, the deck absolutely went off on T8, throwing 16 rats onto the battlefield at once. It would have been more, but I got bored. With Door of Destinies out, the win was already assured.

The second test saw me aggressively mulligan down to just four cards, but I still didn't have any of the combo pieces or even a tutor. I didn't draw them throughout the rest of the game either, and it took me all the way till T11 to do 120 total damage.

I did one last test, drawing a tutor in my opening hand. This time, I went for the Thornbite Staff, which I was able to slap onto Marrow-Gnawer (the commander) on T6. On T7, I had two Relentless Rats in play, I was able to sacrifice one, produce two rat tokens, untap the Marrow-Gnawer, do it again for three tokens this time, and so on for infinite tokens that could win on T8.

Like I said, this is definitely a gimmick deck. I don't need to mess around with it anymore, but it'll provide a laugh or two one of these days.
