Nice! I love wolf decks! Make sure you try out Rancor, it's amazing.

Please let me know how it goes if you take the deck to FNM.

Thank you! I like Rancor just clean forgot about it :) Your deck seems good too, I have taken a look at it and upvoted it :)

First of all I absolutely LOVE Howl of the Night Pack.. Probably one of my favorite cards. Since the deck is mono green, unless you're on a budget, I would recommend maybe taking out a couple Rampant Growth or Ranger's Path for some Courser of Kruphix to help go through your deck quicker as well as get ahead on land to get those larger . I'm decently new to magic, but that's my opinion, for what it's worth! :)

Thank you! That seems like a pretty good card, even though it is a somewhat costy one too. :) You aren't the only one who is fairly new to magic. This is the third deck I've done so far :)

I've done some changes to the deck, what do you think? :)

I think your Ranger's Path could become Moonmist if you find yourself having enough land... it will just take some testing. Moonmist lets your wolves both do damage to opponents, and take no damage, which is just brutal. On that note, I have never had an easy time balancing the mana needed for Howl of the Nightpack... G is a ton of mana considering you could just run something like Mayor of Avabruck  Flip in its place, and add/pump your wolves each turn. Of course, it all depends on how you want to build the deck. Either way, it looks fun!

You have a particularly high mana curve, you might want to try out some mana dorks like Elvish Mystic and also...Courser of Kruphix sadly isn't a wolf.

Scorned Villager  Flip might be the mana dork you are looking for... Once it flips it taps for .

Kiora_Fan-01 Yes, the courser sadly isn't a wolf, though I've found in playtests that it does help out in the deck. It lets me put as many lands from my deck in play as I want, at least if they're on the top of my library, and it provides some life gain to help counter early aggression. I would prefer it over a mana elf personally, because of the life gain and also because it's a little harder to remove. It does have the downside of oppenents being able to see what I draw into. This is just the opinion of a fairly new magic player. I thank you for your input :)

@Wulle123: Lands played from the top of your library with Courser of Kruphix count as your land play for the turn! You still can't play more than one land. If you want to, you should check out Azusa, Lost but Seeking or Oracle of Mul Daya.

I don't know if it would do much, but you could replace Ranger's Path with thte better Skyshroud Claim.

While Rancor is a great card, it gives only one creature trample. Maybe try out Primal Rage?

I agree with @hyperlocke about his suggestions and his ruling is correct as well.

Oh I thought it didn't count towards the one land per turn rule. This makes it kinda bad. Though both Azusa, Lost but Seeking and Oracle of Mul Daya are kinda expensive :-/ Anyway thank you for the suggestions and the correction in my understanding of the rulings :)

I've been following along and have done suggestions. First, just use 4 Elvish Mystic rather than courser. Then drop the ascension. You want to be very aggro with that card and your deck is more late game. Same with the quest for renewal. With only 13 creature spells it's just going to sit there a lot if the time. I don't count howl because it is a game ender on its own... And it's 7 mana. Again, you really should try out Moonmist and Mayor of Avabruck  Flip! They are able to spit out so many wolves from turn 3 on!

robrone9 Thank you for the suggestions! I kinda like both Beastmaster Ascension and Quest for Renewal so I'm going to keep them in the sideboard for use in casual games, though I can see why they may be a little risky to run in more competitive games :)

Totally understand the fun factor. You can actually make the deck more late game focused and keep the Quests and Ascensions, you just need to focus on making plays that will stall the game until the late game rather than attacking. :) Either way, it will be fun to play. My modern wolves deck is always a crowd pleaser, as nobody but nobody runs that deck at a modern tournament but me, which is sort of why I do it.

I'm not sure if I wanna have Wren's Run Packmaster in the deck. What do you guys think? :)

Not with only 4x Elvish Mystic. You would need to diversify quite a bit to make that card playable. I would just cut the Avengers and up the Elementals, as your Parallel Lives make the elemental even more killer in the late game. Might as well bump the Mayor to a 4 of, as he fits in your curve and does everything you want, while still being a non-legendary.

Then bump your Moonmist count to 4 as it does everything you need: flip the mayor, and keep all your wolves alive!

So what about -3 Wolfir Avenger

+2 Wolfbriar Elemental

+1 Mayor of Avabruck  Flip

-1 Giant Growth

+1 Moonmist

Would Karametra's Acolyte be worthwhile instead of Elvish Mystic? :)

That sounds crazy at first but I don't know... Test it. I feel like you want to hit four drops turn 3 because it is modern after all. The deck looks really good tho!
