Ammit Eternal: A 3-mana 5/5 is incredibly efficient. The downside is easily negated as they can either block and take 3 regardless of the number of counters or let it through and reset the counters.
Gifted Aetherborn: It can kill many threats in combat, such as
Whirler Virtuoso, a
Longtusk Cub with no counters,
Earthshaker Khenra and
Winding Constrictor and survive. If it is consistently let through, it causes a 4 life swing each time and two or three of them can easily take a game.
Glint-Sleeve Siphoner: This card gives you a 2/1 menace body and allows you to draw a card two turns after and every second subsequent turn, all for the low cost of 1B. Two of these allow you to draw a card every single turn. It also lets you draw a card off
Aethersphere Harvester rather than giving it lifelink.
Gonti, Lord of Luxury: Being able to essentially
Impulse your opponent, mana fix yourself for that card and getting a 2/3 body that kills
Whirler Virtuosos and
Winding Constrictors in combat is a pretty good deal for 4 mana. You can also still cast the card even after
Gonti, Lord of Luxury has left the battlefield, meaning you shouldn't be worried to get aggressive with him if you need to.
Kitesail Freebooter: This card allows you to forcibly mulligan an opponent, gain perfect information and attack for 1 damage in the air every turn.
Scrapheap Scrounger: A 3/2 for 2 is already efficient. Being able to trade with many creatures in combat and then come back just pushes this card over the top. Being unable to block is hardly a downside when you can either be hitting your opponent for 3 or killing one of their creatures each turn.
Aethersphere Harvester: While not technically a creature, it acts as one so it deserves to be in this section. Stops aggro decks dead in their tracks, killing an attacking creature and gaining back most of the life lost in combat. It can also be a roadblock for other decks which they will most likely have to deal with urgently or you will have time to build a much larger board presence. Avoids the most played removal in Standard such as
Fatal Push without revolt,
Lightning Strike and
Shock. However, it is destroyed by
Abrade but many decks play it as a 2-of at most compared to 4-ofs of
Lightning Strike and
Shock in Ramunap Red and other red-based aggro decks.
