This deck was made as a secret Santa gift exchange on the EDH subreddit.

The main focus of the build is with Balan serving as a Voltron commander. There are lots of equipment to pump his power and others to make him difficult to block or kill.

My giftee also said that he had many of the preconstructed EDH decks from Wizards, so I added a wrinkle to allow for other play styles if desired. The deck can play a go wide strategy with Kemba, or go for the value of drawing cards with Sram.

I wanted to put my own wrinkles into the deck as well. I love working with my graveyard as a resource, and thought adding some components for this would be interesting in a mono white deck as they tend to be short of them. Altar of Dementia paired with Open the Vaults gives you a massive number of equipment dumped onto the battlefield at once. I added a few other recursion options, as well as Oblivion Ring and Banishing Light to cover any troublesome permanents your opponents may get back when you open the vaults.

I also threw in Jareth as a second Voltron option. I always name D&D characters after MTG legends so the inclusion is kind of my way of leaving a signature on the deck. I hope you enjoy!
