He has the premium version, more deckcycles than you or I

Easiest thing to do is spend the $5 to be an upgraded user. You'll get 3 deckcycles a day, then just make sure you deckcycle every day.

Tap lands are not good in this deck. Even basics would be better.

I've already removed them from the physical deck, they kicked me in the ass a few times. Thanks for reminding me to edit them out.

Wow. I like this. My only recommendation is to possibly switch Ponder with Preordain. Just a thought. This is similar to one of my decks, which I now need to go improve because yours has some things that are the same as mine but better (you have Vines of Vastwood where I have Titanic Growth). I have been humbled, and tip my hat to you.

Thanks RedGriffin42. I'll probably make the swap and give Preordain a try.

Phytoburst

@Sgreenden

I've considered Phytoburst before. I'm not too crazy about it being a sorcery. I don't know, what would I cut?

If I may interject... if I were you, I'd probably cut 1 Mutagenic Growth and 1 Giant Growth, and add 2 Phytobursts. Since two-drops are the top of your mana-curve, I wouldn't playset them just yet unless they work out well, but +5/+5 is much better than +3/+3 (or +2/+2). Maybe you could lose the 2 Ranger's Guiles, but hexproof may not be something you're willing to get rid of.

Regardless, I like this deck. +1

Thanks for the upvote Gattison. I'll give Phytoburst a go and run some playtests with it. Recently I've been considering making some room to add 2 more Rancor to the main though.

Also, I do prefer to keep Ranger's Guile for some additional protection for my 12 creatures.

2 more Rancor could be good for you. Perhaps in place of 1 Groundswell and 1 Ponder?

Playtested against a 80$ sliver deck. I barely lost.+1

If Invigorate is legal in pauper, 10/10 would recommend as it is literally a free +4/+4 with no downside. +1 on the sweet deck regardless

Pengoking says... #15

@Minjahamster Unfortunately, Invigorate is one of the few cards on the pauper ban list. Most likely because, as you suggested, it would be bonkers in a pauper infect deck.

Pengoking Sorry, probably should have checked the ban list before commenting, but I like the deck anyways :)

Why not Dispel instead of Turn Aside? Usually if it targets a creature you control, it's an instant, enchantment (like Oblivion Ring, which this spell doesn't work on anyways), or a sorcery that makes you sacrifice creature(also doesn't work).

Maybe try switching Distortion Strike with Shadow Rift. It does the same thing with out the rebound but lets you draw a card. It can also make your opponent's creatures unable to block. With Distortion Strike, you mght get some extra damage, but Shadow Rift could save you the game.

Also, what about Spell Pierce? It will also let you block non-instant spells that target your creatures.

@AIRFLOW - Turn Aside would counter Oblivion Ring wouldn't it? since its a spell that would target your creature....

February 12, 2016 10:59 a.m.

Pengoking says... #21

@Redbeard31 Once it targets the creature, it is already a permanent on the battlefield and not a spell.

Unenlightened says... #22

Maybe Slaughterhorn instead of Giant Growth? That way you can use it as a blocker in a pinch...

May 28, 2016 3:58 p.m.

Airflow says... #23

I can use Giant growth on the defense against things like burn spells, and that can be invaluable to turn the tide in my favor.

Definitely consider preordain over ponder. Otherwise this is exactly what i had in mind for pauper infect. +1
