This deck is a pretty good deck, it is by no means the best deck in standard and isn't even the best budget deck in standard, however, if you want a deck that's cheep, has a chance at winning tournaments and is fun to play, then you might want to give this deck a try. I am open to suggestions. Comments and upvotes are appreciated.
Sorcery:
Harsh Scrutiny, Bone Splinters and Mind Rot all make your opponent unable to do basically anything. They'll get rid of their hands and the creatures that manage to make their way onto the battlefield.
Morbid Curiosity gives you insane card draw, especially with Distended Mindbender.
Creatures:
Distended Mindbender is a 5/5 with an amazing ability that you could get out on turn four.
Filigree Familiar
shouldn't even need an explanation. You can sac it to play Distended Mindbender turn four, and you get to draw a card.
Marionette Master works perfectly for this deck.imagine this: you have a
Filigree Familiar
and Marionette Master (as a 4/6) on the battlefield and you have a Distended Mindbender in your hand. You sac the
Filigree Familiar
to play Distended Mindbender then you get to draw a card, then Distended Mindbender's ability goes off, then your opponent loses four life because of Marionette Master's ability.
Carrier Thrall
is a low cost early game fighter that's great for sacrificing.
Weaponcraft Enthusiast makes more artifacts for Marionette Master and Syndicate Trafficker.
Pilgrim's Eye is another artifact, it gets you another swamp, and is good to sacrifice for Distended Mindbender or Bone Splinters.
Scrapheap Scrounger is a powerful early-game artifact creature that's good for sacrificing because of its ability to come back from the graveyard.
Lands:
Mortuary Mire... Drawing one of these from sacrificing a Distended Mindbender with Morbid Curiosity is always fun.
Westvale Abbey
is really powerful and easier to transform than you'd think.
Blighted Fen
is just some good late-game power.
Instants:
Altar's Reap is great card draw and can deal some extra damage with Marionette Master if you sacrifice the right creatures.
