Big tricky creatures, versatile removal and 2 for 1's!

This deck was designed to combat delver-treasure cruise decks, but more importantly, anti-delver decks. The intention is to play creatures that either can't (or can't profitably) be killed by most burn spells or be blocked by commonly played pauper creatures. Then play enough removal to cover their threats that can't be dealt with through our own creatures.

Card advantage is also a strong theme, and many of our cards provide two for ones or allow us to create blow-out situations, without relying on too much synergy.

UR delver 1-1

Game one he had a fast start and overwhelmed me with cheap fliers and counters. The one creature I could get out couldn't block anything and I died pretty quick.

Game two, sided out emissary as they were pretty useless, sided in more removal. killed an early delver with an chainer's and bided my time with instant speed removal in hand to try and take out his creatures as they were played. I had leech in hand and wanted to ensure it landed. Turn 3 I passed and after he did nothing I flashed in a grunt. This got countered as expected but I then was able to play the leech the next turn. This essentially won me the game. I removed the faries as they came out but before the mana untapped and so he wasnt able to counter or block. He managed to find red eventually and flame slash the leach on about 8 health, but I had a couple more creatures and blastodon sealed the deal. ravens crime really shined here got about 3 or 4 discards. The flashback edict got his last blocker as well.

The deck really showed its control side here with flashbacks and retraces giving lots of value. The flash creatures are excellent at getting blue to tap out at the end of their turn, letting you land a real threat. Plus, no echo if grunts get countered.
