"You designed great machines that could tear the fabric of reality?"

"Yes."

"You thought you could control the ancient beings that leak through the cracks?"

"Yes."

"What crossed through the portal?"

"Urza."

This deck was originaly commanded by Muzzio, Visionary Architect: Urza is simply a better fit. Muzzio serves now in the 99. The core concept of the deck is the classic mad scientist who overreaches in an insane quest for power. Eldrazi are incredibly threatening, but with Muzzio in charge the deck didn't always function as intended: he still drew a lot of hate.

This deck is designed to avoid infinite combo and to rely on Eldrazi as win conditions. Urza is such a good fit that I literally only swapped out a couple cards before trying him as commander. This is an excellent mana engine, and if Urza sticks on the board B̷̨̡̥̜̜̜̼̈́̑́̾̍̅͊͘͜ad Ṭ̵̢̡̬͇̳̲͎̈́̕ͅhings follow. Muzzio rewarded me for building without zero mana artifacts, and I've maintained that; plus Urza's lottery mechanic is fun and has a better payoff with the average mana value being so high.

I don't play this much anymore: it's too powerful for my playgroup. I still update it when I see obvious upgrades.
