This is a traditional Boros aggro deck. It is built to play at the highest power level that isn't cEDH. This deck aims to win through combat.

This deck's early game consists mostly of creatures that get you value (either mana or cards) through combat. Once you get to 4+ mana, the bigger creatures that pack a punch start coming down. This deck does not ramp into its commander like many other decks, rather Aurelia, the Warleader comes down when you've got a combat engine going to double it up. The smaller creatures of the deck scale to the late game with pump effects (Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, Adriana, Captain of the Guard, Aurelia, Exemplar of Justice), double damage (Fiendish Duo, Akroma's Will), extra combats (Aurelia, the Warleader, Moraug, Fury of Akoum), and equipment (Sword of Feast and Famine, Sword of Fire and Ice, Sword of Hearth and Home).

A lot of the ramp in this deck comes through red sources like treasure generators (Professional Face-Breaker, Captain Lannery Storm, Dockside Extortionist) or ritual effects (Jeska's Will). We also play lands (Ancient Tomb, Myriad Landscape) and mana rocks that help. The most important way to draw cards in the deck is Mask of Memory (and by extension, Sword of Fire and Ice) as equipment are the easiest to tutor. Esper Sentinel can also be tutored by Imperial Recruiter and will draw you a lot of cards. Aside from these, we play wheels (Wheel of Fortune, Wheel of Misfortune) and impulsive draw (Light Up the Stage, Tectonic Giant) to draw cards.

Currently, one of the most important cards in the deck is Imperial Recruiter. This card has so many different options to search. If you're in need of ramp it can tutor for one of our many treasure generators. If you need to draw cards it can tutor Esper Sentinel. If you need a threat it can tutor Serra Ascendant or Aurelia, Exemplar of Justice. If it's late game and you need to recur your threats you can tutor for Mila, Crafty Companion   so that you can get Lukka, Wayward Bonder going. (Those last few are why we play Imperial Recruiter and not Recruiter of the Guard as the latter misses them).

This deck has two combos in it, both unintentional- every card in the combo made it into the list as a standalone, powerful card. The first involves the combination of Smothering Tithe and a wheel effect like Wheel of Fortune. This can get you a fresh hand of cards and a lot of mana. When combined with Underworld Breach you can draw and cast your whole deck. Keep repeating until you get a Grand Abolisher on board, one-sided board wipe with Hour of Revelation and Boros Charm, then Teferi's Protection out once you've got enough creatures to kill next turn. The other combo involves Sword of Hearth and Home and our commander. Attach the sword to another creature, then attack with that creature and Aurelia. Aurelia will trigger for another combat, then you deal combat damage with the creature holding the sword. The sword trigggers and you blink Aurelia. You then move to the next combat. Since Aurelia was blinked, this is once again the first time she is attacking this turn, so you get infinite combats so long as you keep connecting with the sword.

This deck, if played carefully, can be resilient to the interaction. It not only plays a lot of ways to protect your board (Deflecting Swat, Teferi's Protection, etc.), but with the help of strixhaven plays a lot of ways to recur threats from the grave (Venerable Warsinger, Lukka, Wayward Bonder, Sun Titan) or make creatures harder to get rid of (Luminous Broodmoth, Hofri Ghostforge). The deck's main weakness is combo- it cannot win a race against fast combo decks (thus why it's not meant for cEDH). However if forced to play against combo, this deck does run plenty of interaction, so make sure to look for that when deciding to mulligan or not. This deck is not forgiving if you keep a bad hand, so mulligan wisely.
