This is my current FNM deck. I really like the colour combination of Selesnya. I placed first in my local FNM with this deck.

Let's talk about some of the cards here.

Boon Satyr - I knew when this card came out that I would need it in my deck. He has a lot of versatility because of flash. You can flash him in to block or flash bestow him to pump a creature and he will become a creature if that creature dies. So either way he will make it onto the field. Also being an enchantment creature he has good synergy with enchantment based effects.

Advent of the Wurm - Who doesn't like a 5/5 trampling worm that can be brought in at instant speed?

Experiment One - 1/1 with evolve and can be regenerated. I usually drop him first followed by a Soldier of the Pantheon to trigger a turn 2 2/2 and swing :)

Ajani, Caller of the Pride - Drop him and -3 loyalty to give flying and double strike to your worm. Who doesn't like flying worms?

Fleecemane Lion - Another card I just knew I had to have. 3/3 for 2 mana? and the possibility to be monstrous!? This guy can get really out of hand especially when you slap on a Boon Satyr

Loxodon Smiter - This guy is a staple in most Selesnya decks. a 4/4 which can't be countered and also hates on toughtseize. Yes please :)

Voice of Resurgence - Poor control. You wanna play a spell during my turn? I don't think you really wanna. Gimme tokens please!

The sideboard is pretty self explanatory:

Deicide - to deal with gods and god weapons and also enchantment removal.

Mistcutter Hydra - Purely hate on blue decks

Pithing Needle - To shut down Jace, Aetherlings and Pack Rats

Plummet - to get rid of Stormbreath Dragon and other hard to reach threats

Rootborn Defenses - No more Supreme Verdict and also has synergy with worm tokens

Setessan Tactics - Creature removal

Unflinching Courage - If we face any aggro strategies and need to stabalise

Thanks to Craig Wescoe for inspiration for the update. I don't have the same mana base though and the sideboard is still my creation. Comments welcome :)

I hadn't gone to FNM for a few weeks. I had bought a booster box and fat pack for the Journey into Nyx release but hadn't played any of the new cards yet. I had some really tight games tonight.

Game 1
I went 2-1 against a mono black deck but I managed to push through and was pretty close to losing on the last game. Lucky I didn't forget my evolve trigger on Experiment One.

Game 2
I went 2-0 against a budget mono blue deck. He just kept throwing counters at me but lucky I had my Loxodon Smiter & Mistcutter Hydra. Pithing Needle your AEtherling!

Game 3
I went 2-0 against another mono black deck. Banishing Light was especially helpful here as soon as I saw Pack Rat.

Game 4
I went 2-1 against a Hexproof G/W/R deck. The whole strategy was to use Gladecover Scout and enchant with as many enchantments as possible. The poor guy had to mulligan quite a few times. Soldier of the Pantheon shone brightly as I used it to chump block the Gladecover Scout which had Unflinching Couragefoil attached to it. The protection stopped the lifelink and the trample. Game 4 was by far the closest of the night. I even offered my opponent a draw...

Thinking about cutting Ajani, Mentor of Heroes as he didn't see play all night.
