I am entering phase 2 of my deck building project. I start buying cards tomorrow, after I deposit my paycheck. Special thanks to Lyscian, The_Black_Eagle, MagicalHacker, and Redmega for their help.

I figured I would buy the cards in chunks, first getting the pieces with the most importance and most synergy. These are the cards I am currently happy with and will be buying this time around:

That is probably a list of what I am getting first. My problem is I have a list of cards that are questionable to run in here. I have no clue what to do with them. Am I crazy? Do I need to do more testing before taking these out? Most of my testing involves dry runs to study the flow of the deck. And since it is a control deck, I can't just try to spam out creatures and see how fast they come out. Aggro is a bit easier to test in that respect. My list of questionable cards and reasons is:

Ethersworn Adjudicator - It is really mana intensive and a bit slow. It can't use its ability until next turn and it costs 6 mana to do both. dark imposter - It drops on turn 3, but doesn't do anything for at least 3 more turns. The ability is extremely mana intensive, even though it does help me out. I don't know if I want to dedicate THAT much of my resources to spot removal.Zur's Weirding - I saw this in a few decks and I liked the sound of it. But I don't like how it hurts me too.Mana Web - I REALLY liked this card, but then I realized that they can tap mana in response to the effect, unless I misunderstood the ruling. So they still generate the mana. It ends up being a nuisance, nothing more.Venser's Journal - Would this really benefit me. I can see decks that the card has value in, but does it really benefit me in the long run?

What do I cut? Should other stuff be cut? Input is needed and appreciated.
