Mindswipe
is still valid as it deal damage whether the spell was countered or not. It combos with the satyr and can be great for finishing off someone if the game has stalled, however I do agree that Negate
is probably necessary in the deck as well.
I also believe that there is enough soft scry in the deck to not need Dig Through Time
. Steam Augury
,Chandra, Pyromaster
, the temples, Magma Jet
and Dissolve
all have scry or scry like abilities.
I can not for the life of me remember why i had Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker
on my side board..

I like the direction you're going with this. Satyr Firedancer is a really cool card that I've been considering against some match-ups.
You're right, Mindswipe will still deal the damage if the spell isn't countered. However it'll only ever be 3-4 damage. Again, I'd suggest taking both out for two more Jeskai Charm s. That card is just AMAZING in this deck. At least one mode is useful in every situation (often being a total blowout), and the 4 to the face option seems really good with Satyr Firedancer , not to mention adding a lot to your burn plan.
Also surprised that you're not running Stoke the Flames , which I don't really need to tell you is one of the best burn spells currently in standard.

-4 negate +4 dissolve as you need to be able to counter everything and bottom lands should the game go a little slower

I agree with the vote for Dissolve and I would say 4 negates is too many, a 2-2 split would do just fine though.

Deck is rather inconsistant with double costs early game, if I get to mid or long games im probably losing.
Also Negate
is cheaper and only fails to counter creatures, which the deck can handle.

ok makes sense i suppose though the biggest threats in new standard are creatures, how do you deal with Surrak Dragonclaw Polukranos, World Eater and Stormbreath Dragon ?

usually a Deflecting Palm
or Jeskai Charm
+ Satyr Firedancer
there is also Banishing Light
and sideboard tech (Banishing Light
, Burn Away
, End Hostilities
) or just double burning off a firedancer, again though if its late game ive usually already lost.

My last question is this do i drop the temples and run fetches or keep them?
i could run an entirely different suite of lands for a more agro feel to the deck the only problem is im main and only splashing blue this creates a problem as the fetches are only allied colours and since red and blue and white and red are not allied there isnt a fetch which will get me mountains or a plains/island.
Possible list including fetches.
4x Battlefield Forge
2x Flooded Strand
2x Island
4x Mountain
4x Plains
3x Shivan Reef
3x Wooded Foothills

i dunno i wouldn't say go all in on the fetches i'd say cut 1 of each temple and run 3 Flooded Strand that seems good to me.

Very well put-together deck. +1 from me. I was trying to go aggro with America/Jeskai for fun or for a typical Control feel, but this seems like the perfect balance. I highly recommend adding 1 more Keranos, God of Storms because he ends games and you will make it to T5, T6, T7 with plenty of options. I feel Chandra, Pyromaster should be the one-of in the deck.

I would use 3x Mindswipe rather than the Lightning Strikes.

Mindswipe is a beautiful card, but not right for a deck that needs it's mana for big creatures. Readily available burn (Lightning Strike ) is therefore better than something that can only work during a counter and tapping yourself out (Mindswipe )
SoulTycoon says... #1
Take Mindswipe right out. Trust me, with 22 lands you will never get to effectively cast it for more than 3 and you'll rarely actually counter something. I'd suggest playing/siding Negate instead, which is the best counterspell available to us.
Dig Through Time is really good in here in the longer match-ups, since all your spells make delve easy to trigger and it finds you the stuff you need to close out the game.
I'd suggest Goblin Rabblemaster over the Monastery Swiftspear . Your starts won't be as explosive, but they'll be much more reliable.
Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker is also a little too high on the curve here, from experience testing.
If you think I'm talking out of my ass here, check out my deck for more complete opinions on these cards. Good luck, and happy testing!
