It's true, flyers hurt. The only problem with Hornet Queen is that it costs just way way too much mana. I've pretty much never hit 7 mana with this deck. The only major flying threat is Stormbreath Dragon which will mess me up way before I could possibly get Hornet Queen out. I've got the Hero's Downfall s on the main and post board I'll have 2 more as well as Setessan Tactics . I'll probably add Hornet Nest to the board as well just in case.

+3 Llanowar Wastes because you have so many one drops that you cant afford a land to come in tapped turn one.

Hornet Nest Could be a good alternate to hornet queen for you. You've already got the setessan tactics to have your creatures fight it, so you can whack it yourself to get bee's if you need to.

I've been trying to fit Hornet Nest in here, I'm just not really sure how I'd do it. I could maybe lose some of the Mardu Hateblade s cause they kinda suck or I might just drop Ob Nixilis, Unshackled since I don't really have much protection for him. I'm pretty worried about flyers, thought post board I'll have 3x Stain the Mind which should be pretty easy to cast early on with convoke.

What about adding Nylea, God of the Hunt and having some DT and trample? or some Dictate of Erebos so if your creatures die its 2:1 ratio?

I do like the Deathtouch and Trample synergy, but I wouldn't get much out of it since everything only has one damage to deal. I've got Archetype of Courage to give them first strike though. I like dictate, it could be useful in the sideboard. Grim Haruspex already gives me value out of my creatures dying, but dictate could do some work against big boards. Thanks for the suggestions.

I see you use the boardsweep and Return the ranks combo. I use it in my mono white low cmc deck.

I love Return to the Ranks. Check out W/B Lifegain Constellation, my b/w aggro lifegain deck It's got a sweet rttr combo..

I feel like Crux of Fate is more of a sideboard card, and I like the idea of having Reaper of the Wilds in the mainboard. Maybe? Cool deck though, +1.

@ Runlue, I like Crux of Fate on the mainboard cause it can kill flying/first strike creatures for me and it still gets a lot of value off of Grim Haruspex, Whisperwood Elemental, and Athreos, God of Passage. Reaper of the Wilds does do a lot for me when I side it in though. Perhaps it's better than Brutal Hordechief, but I'm going to need to playtest this thing a lot more before I can know that for sure. I'm thinking of adding another Athreos, God of Passage though; his synergy with Whisperwood Elemental and the rest of this deck is really too good to pass up.

What about an anthem to help your 1/1 army swing in for the win earlier? Spear of Heliod would be my first choice I guess, ack ability and double athreos devotion seems relevant. Hilariously enough, Godsend is actually a pretty great one-of as well, in my experience. Don't discount me for saying that though, it's true I swear!

I think that Brutal Hordechief fits that role well enough right now. I think that the double white mana costs on those cards would make them too hard to cast and changing the manabase might make it too hard to cast my creatures/Thoughtsieze. Brutal Hordechief fits the white splash better since he's still a creature with an awesome ability even if I don't have the white mana for his activated ability (which is crazy in this deck). Also I'd like to have as many creatures as possible so that Whisperwood Elemental hits mostly creatures to manifest. Thanks for the suggestions though, I've gotten my ass handed to me by Godsend a fair number of times

I really like this one, it seems that you could get overpowered by a token generator deck though - they would be happy to trade 1:1 unless you had your singleton Athreos, God of Passage out, so I agree an upping that count.

It might stretch the manabase a little, but I feel a 1 or 2-of Rally the Ancestors in the sideboard could be worth it vs Temur-style beasts.
Tapping 4-6 mana on T6 to put 2-4 deathtouchers back in play to block Savage Knuckleblade or Shaman of the Great Hunt makes for a more relevant top deck than drawing one more Typhoid Rats does.
And if Athreos, God of Passage is out... you could still end up with them back in hand (I think) unless the opponent wanted to pay 3 life. :)

Correcting my previous post, Rally the Ancestors would only cost 1WW. I love that interaction so much I am going to build a BW version to put it to the test.

This deck used to run more white cards including Return to the Ranks and Archetype of Courage, both of which are pretty great for a w/b deck. I'm just really liking Whisperwood Elemental so I shifted the deck to be primarily b/g.

You should run Mastery of the Unseen so that if you don't draw any Whisperwood Elemental you can still manifest properly. Also life gain is good sometimes.
