Nobody runs those in my meta, but my answer would be Stubborn Denial

How did u do yesterday?

Yesterday I went 2-1. The loss is not the decks fault, but my own for a misplay and a bad decision to no mulligan.

Haha no i kept a hand with no creatures. I had scry lands and perfect plays beside that. Usually it works out that i have a creature and mana to protect it (since he was running burn) when i do thag but after a few turns i never dres one, even with scry lands. Sometimes calculated risks fail

We should play each other using text for example I have my deck in front of me right I just drew seven and will keep and lay a temple of silence for turn 1 and pass

What made you mainboard Negate over Stubborn Denial? I'm tempted to try mainboarding one of those but not sure which proves best. Any advice?

November 19, 2014 12:54 p.m.

I was wondering the same thing Lightcarrier?

Its a matter of me just wanting extra security. Usually a t-3 crackling doom will not find me waiting with a 4 power creature so im just being safe. But i haven't playtested a lot, so it may just be me not feeling safe with Stubborn Denial being a soft counter.

I think I'll include one of each in my deck and see what I prefer after a couple games. :)

You know the atifact deck that turns useless artifacts into 5/5 flyers? How do u deal with artifact decks since u can't select a color with gods willing or feat of resistance?

November 20, 2014 11:49 a.m.

NightingGaleA1 -- The only thing we can do against artifact creatures is go right through them with Aqueous Form. But usually, a 5/5 flying on turn two is hard to recover from, unless you get your Ordeal of Heliod early and outrun the opponent somehow. Or find a Singing Bell Strike, or even a Stratus Walk to assign a blocker.

An artifact-based aggro deck can be a tough match for U/W Heroic; that's when the sideboard becomes helpful. I'm eager to try my Seek the Way (to your opponent's face) against that kind of deck. :)

November 20, 2014 12:45 p.m.

So choose: "Empara's Enlightenment, Abzan Falconer or Stratus walk to give ur creatures flying?

November 20, 2014 12:50 p.m.

lightcarrier says... #18

That would be a good defensive approach to it, but would become instantly useless when your opponent plays Shrapnel Blast in your face. You could also use counterspells, or destroy the artifact or the Ensoul Artifact before it makes too much damage.

Another option would be to gain loads of life to outrun the damage and get to the final blow first. :)

You might of missed my last Post

I was replying to your post that suggested Ephara's Enlightenment, Abzan Falconer or Stratus Walk as defense against 5/5 flyers.

Have I missed something? Sorry if there was a misunderstanding.

November 20, 2014 1:46 p.m.

I'm confused as to why u would play Trailblazer it takes targeting it with three different spells just to get it to Four power?

November 20, 2014 2:15 p.m.

robotwalle says... #22

I would use stratus walk as defense against fliers (that's why its maindeck) because it allows me to draw a card and is cheap. The trailblazer is in the deck to be sided in against burn decks, and decks that have threats to be blocked early game, like rabblemaster or seeker of the way. The artifact deck is janky but i haven't had issues with it yet. Usually if you gain any sort of life you can out aggro it and it really doesn't have too many answers to evasive creatures that you can't respond with a protection spell

November 20, 2014 3:01 p.m.

yeah good point

November 20, 2014 3:03 p.m.

robotwalle says... #24

The decks you want to see with this deck are midrange decks. They are easy matchups. Control is usually a win as well, but aggro decks are this decks weakness as they have cheaper removal.

November 20, 2014 3:06 p.m.

yeah I know also Mulling is probably this decks biggest weakness if u have to mull to 6 and then to 5 it's very hard to come back from that :(
