Fluctuator Spike —May 8, 2017

I think this is due to the hype of Amonkhet releasing cycle cards, or some new archetype, has caused this deck's price to spike about $40.

The kitchen-table version I ran used Laboratory Maniac instead of Twilight's Call, and ran a single Island to compensate. Any interest in including it as a backup?
Have you ever attempted with a Serum Powder or two to try to guarantee your Fluctuator? As I recall (as the deck has long since been torn apart) there were only SO many non-cycling slots you could include in the deck, I just don't remember what that exact number was. Additionally, I remember running a Crystal Vein or two for the occasional T1 Fluctuator. All in all, great summary of the deck, and an interesting take on it's win-con.

Have you considered Haunting Misery as an instant win condition? Would be faster and more direct.

ajd777 Haunting Misery is also played in versions of this deck, to be honest it and almost any spell like it can serve as win cons, in similar lists it was used in the sideboard as leyline shuts it down.
